We recently connected with Nathan Camden and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nathan, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
One of the ways we at ND Studio are misunderstood: too often people think that we are in competition with local business or producers.
Although we are an Entertainment Company and deal with talent management, our focus is our community. We partner with local business and producers, and link them to our network of artist and creators.
We have many local artists who worked with private agents who join our network, and found full time performing opportunities at local businesses.
We work with artists to build their portfolios, and break down the industry standards and terminology. Preparing them for the contracts and processes they will encounter in their professional career.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
One of the easiest way to support our community, is to come to our shows and events. Often our events are free, or have tickets as low as $5.00
You being in the crowd means so much to the performers who work so hard to share their creations. Even your critiques support the creators, and hone their skills.
You can check out website or social medias for show and event information.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
One of the easiest things for non-creatives to overlook, is just how much art and entertainment are involved in their every day life.
From the songs we sing on our commutes, to the shows we fall asleep to, even the cars we drive and building we work in, all stem from creatives doing what they love.
Every logo, every sign, every T-shirt design, an artist put their hands to.
Today, we so often take for granted how accessable entertainment is, but many remember just how important it is to see a play, watch a movie, dance a little, and enjoy your favorite song.
