We were lucky to catch up with Nathalie Mompremier recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nathalie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
I am so excited to share my newest project to help serve the underserved! My newest app- Xchanges, provides a platform for professionals to provide services without paper or digital currency as payment. For example, a nail technician can provide a manicure to a lash artist in exchange for their lashes done. It doesn’t have to stop with beauty. It can include all industries that have something to offer to the world- as long as the two users agree they can swap as much services as they’d like! This can really help underserved populations that are barely keeping up with inflation.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My background includes other social networking apps such as Showbuddy Finder- an app that helps individuals with similar interests meetup as a group. It is available on both app store and google play for free! I was inspired after running into the issue that so many people face such as wanting to go to an event but not wanting to go alone. As freeing as it is to go alone, sometimes company is preferred. To follow me on my adventures, please check out my facebook:

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
To start my business, I used my own funds from a full time job I had at the time. While having start up capital from sponsors or business loans from the bank is ideal, it can take a long time. I’ve always had a “take charge” personality and avoid waiting on someone to do something I can do for myself. There’s nothing wrong with using your paychecks to fund your creative works after your bills are paid :)
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is a great tool to help build your brand & business. The key to social media is consistency! Someone just starting to build their social media presence should be posting everyday. If you can help it, don’t leave your viewers wondering what happened to you for months at a time. Right now, videos in short form are trending. I’d skip pictures and take lots of 15 second videos & post on all platforms daily to grow quickly. Also, collaborating with others in your industry is a great way to grow your page.
