We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nate Alexander. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nate below.
Nate, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
In High School I had a friend Who created The Brand Name “Mainly” which didn’t have a vision or any logos for the brand. My Friend came to me which an idea and asked me to create logos and a vision for him (in which i did). Eventually after high school i Took the brand into my own hands (making a long story short). Now making and evolving into the brand it is today,.
Nate, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My Name Is Nate Alexander and im a Deigner in the city of Atlanta. I always had a passion for making clothes since i wasnt able to get the type of Clothing that I wanted as kid. So i had to Put things into My Own hands to get my own style. What sets me apart from others is that I make Custom clothing from Curtains and other Materials that i find laying around. What Im most proud of is working with a few celebrities and other records compainies making designes for them. My biggest one so far is working with 808 mafia and making thier T-shirt design/logos, I have met TM 88 and being invited to his home and sitting down with him and making Logo desgns with him.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
When i was in Highschool My friend came to me and asked me to designer his logos, since then i started off drawing logos as my 1st venture in creativity. I drew some things up by hand for him and ever since then i started doing hand work/painting t shirts for the future, Because i knew something would pop off for me in the future. I just never knew when it would happen
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
How i build my audience was through organic following. I learned that meeting people in the same interest/industry that I could find my audience. Putting in footwork and networking skills would bring in an organic following. By going to colleges, going to fashion events, and also being involved in runway shows i knew i would bigger my following. I was taught this by a friend that was better than me in modeling/designing and i just followed his lead. my advice to others who are in a certain audience/industry is to learn from people who are better than you and to take notes on how they managed to make a living/audience from what they do.
