We were lucky to catch up with Trinidad recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Trinidad thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
Sometimes I do wish I started my career a lot sooner. I’ve always known what I’ve wanted to do, but I still went to college and got my degree — which I do not regret either. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I’m doing everything on my time, but some days I do wish I had that head start in my career.

Trinidad, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been creating music for as long as I can remember. I started in kindergarten playing the violin. By third grade I was on to choir and band; where I played the trumpet. I continued with the trumpet until 8th grade, where I transitioned into percussion, picking up the snare drum. As I got older, I started making my own skits and videos with my cousin at my granny’s house. When I got to college, I took an internship with a director in LA and that’s how I started to work with all the top artists and eventually I went from behind the scenes to in front of the cameras..

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Share. Share. Share!!! If you like a song, video, picture, post, ect., it is completely free to share it with your followers and it is always appreciated! Word of mouth is such a powerful tool, especially with social media platforms. A simple share can make a post/song/video go viral.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Getting booked! No matter what the job is, the set, etc, it all feels worth it when you get that “booked” email/text. Also, completing a song. Getting an idea in your head and making it come to life, to be able to share your thoughts with others in a tangible way is beautiful and rewarding.
