Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natasha Pehrson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Natasha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
When I started Body Confidence, it wasn’t just about weight loss—it was about taking back control of my life. After having my third baby, I found myself in a cycle of extreme dieting, self-doubt, and feeling like my body was something I had to fight against. I was exhausted, frustrated, and stuck in the mindset that if I just lost weight, I’d finally feel confident.
But here’s what I realized: confidence doesn’t come from a number on the scale. It comes from the way we show up for ourselves.
That shift changed everything. Instead of punishing myself with restrictive diets, I started focusing on balance, consistency, and mindset shifts. I lost 100 pounds—not because I followed a strict plan, but because I changed the way I thought about food, my body, and my worth.
After my fourth baby, I knew I had to share what I’d learned with other women—because no one should have to go through the frustration, guilt, and confusion I did. That’s when Body Confidence was born.
Why Body Confidence Is Different
Unlike most weight loss programs, Body Confidence isn’t a diet—because diets don’t work. The diet industry is built to keep you stuck in a cycle of restriction, guilt, and failure, so you keep coming back. They don’t actually want you to succeed.
I do.
Body Confidence is different because we focus on what actually works:
✅ Building sustainable habits instead of obsessing over every calorie.
✅ Creating a balanced lifestyle that includes real food, social events, and joy.
✅ Shifting your mindset so you stop self-sabotaging and finally believe in yourself.
Because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, frustrated, and exhausted. And I also know the freedom that comes from learning how to trust yourself again—to make choices that feel good, to move your body because you love it, not because you’re punishing it.
At Body Confidence, we help women lose weight without dieting, so they can feel good in their skin for life. This isn’t about quick fixes or temporary results—it’s about becoming the strongest, most confident version of yourself.

Meet Natasha Pehrson – The Woman Behind Body Confidence
I’m Natasha Pehrson, and I help women break free from dieting, build lasting confidence, and finally feel good in their skin—without giving up the foods they love or spending hours in the gym.
I didn’t always have this figured out. Like so many women, I spent years trapped in the cycle of yo-yo dieting, self-doubt, and frustration. I’d lose weight, gain it back, and feel like a failure every time. After having my third baby, I found myself at my heaviest weight, exhausted and defeated. I thought if I could just stick to the “perfect” diet, I’d finally feel confident.
But here’s what I learned: the diet industry sets women up to fail. They push restrictive meal plans, extreme rules, and quick fixes—not because they work, but because they keep you stuck, constantly chasing results that never last.
So I stopped dieting. Instead, I focused on changing my habits, healing my mindset, and learning to trust myself again. That’s when everything changed. Over the next year and a half, I lost 100 pounds—not through dieting, but through balance.
What I Do & How Body Confidence Helps Women
That journey led me to create Body Confidence, a brand and community dedicated to helping women achieve real, sustainable results—not just on the scale, but in their lives.
Through coaching, courses, and content, I teach women how to:
✔️ Lose weight without dieting by building habits they can stick to for life
✔️ Break the cycle of self-sabotage and finally trust themselves with food
✔️ Build confidence now, not just after they reach a goal weight
✔️ Create balance so they can enjoy life and get results
Whether it’s through my Body Confidence Academy, my 100-Day Challenge, or the free content I share across social media, my mission is to help women stop struggling with their weight and start living their lives with confidence.
What Sets Body Confidence Apart?
💥 It’s NOT a diet. No meal plans, no calorie counting, no unrealistic restrictions—just real strategies that work for busy women.
💥 We focus on mindset. Weight loss isn’t just about food; it’s about how you think, the habits you build, and the confidence you create.
💥 It’s built for real life. You shouldn’t have to choose between weight loss and enjoying your life. Body Confidence helps women do both.
What I’m Most Proud Of
Beyond the weight loss stories and transformations, what I’m most proud of is the ripple effect this work creates. When a woman learns to trust herself again, she doesn’t just change her body—she changes her confidence, her energy, and the way she shows up in every part of her life.
I know what it’s like to feel stuck, exhausted, and ready to give up. But I also know that change is possible—because I’ve done it, and I’ve helped thousands of other women do it too.
If you’re ready to stop dieting and start creating confidence, Body Confidence is here to help.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
How I Built My Social Media Audience & My Best Advice for Beginners
Unlike a lot of business owners who start social media after launching their brand, I actually did it the other way around. I started posting simply to share my weight loss journey—no business plan, no strategy, just real, raw updates about what I was going through.
But as my following grew, I had a light bulb moment: If I got strategic with my content, I could actually turn this into a business.
That’s when I started studying the algorithm, paying attention to user behavior, and testing what actually worked. The biggest lesson? Social media is about connection first. I didn’t grow by just posting random content—I grew by:
✅ Being authentic—sharing my real journey, struggles, and wins
✅ Solving a real problem—helping women break free from dieting
✅ Providing value, not just selling—teaching, inspiring, and engaging first
My Best Advice for Growing on Social Media
1️⃣ Treat it like a tool, not your business. Social media is a way to market your business, but it isn’t your actual business. Focus on building a deeper connection with your audience and leading them to something you own (email list, website, programs).
2️⃣ Pay attention to user behavior. How are you using the app? What makes you stop scrolling? The more you understand what people actually engage with, the more you can create content that connects.
3️⃣ Be consistent & patient. Growth doesn’t happen overnight. But if you show up regularly, provide value, and genuinely connect with your audience, it will pay off.
Social media gave me the platform to build Body Confidence, but more importantly, it gave me a community. And that’s the key—if you focus on building relationships first, the growth (and the business) will follow.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
My Advice for Managing a Team & Maintaining High Morale
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a leader is that alignment matters more than anything. Your team needs to genuinely care about your mission, vision, and values—because when people believe in the work they’re doing, motivation comes naturally.
I’ve also found that personality and work ethic matter more than skills. Skills can be taught, but you can’t teach someone to be self-motivated, adaptable, or a good culture fit. That’s why I prioritize hiring people who are:
✅ Passionate about our mission—they want to be here
✅ Problem-solvers, not problem-bringers—they take ownership
✅ Growth-minded—they’re eager to learn and improve
Other Key Lessons for Keeping a Team Engaged:
1️⃣ Give people ownership. When people feel like their work matters and they have a say in how things are done, they’re way more invested in the outcome.
2️⃣ Communicate the ‘why.’ People don’t just want to be told what to do—they want to understand why it matters. I always tie tasks back to the bigger mission so the team sees how their role impacts the bigger picture.
3️⃣ Create a culture of trust. High morale comes from people feeling valued, heard, and supported. That means recognizing wins, creating space for feedback, and making sure your team knows you have their back.
At the end of the day, a strong team is built on shared purpose, trust, and the right people. And when you have that? Morale takes care of itself.
