Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natasha Grimes. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Natasha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
The first time I knew I wanted to pursue being a creative was after my mom passed away. I started off as a writer where I would just write out my feelings because I was grieving at that time. Then, I had ended up being a blogger for this media platform called BranNewMedia, I brought up the idea of in person interviews and that was back in October 2022. My first in person interview EVER was with Roscoe Dash, and if you know who Roscoe Dash is, then you know he had your childhood lit!

Natasha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Natasha, but I do prefer Tasha. I started doing the show in 2023 when I was homeless and I was living in a studio house on the Southside of Atlanta. We had taken psychedelics and I was just telling my homeboy BvndoBill that I wanted to start a podcast. He helped me legalize it, and the show grew from there. As a talk show host, I provide a safe space for artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives to let their hair down, and we’re just talking about them and what they have going on too.
I am proud of the clients that I have, the clients that I had, and the clients that are coming because it shows me that I am doing what I am here to do. I just want the potentials to know that TalksWithTashATL is a safe place, it is for them to be themselves, and no one is judging.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson that I had to unlearn is that nothing is perfect. I have a vision, and I want to execute it perfectly but perfection does not exist. When I started the show, I had ideas on how I wanted everything to be from the lights, to the logo, and video. However, I have loved how the show has looked so far, but I know that I want the show to look like how I would want it.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
A goal that is driving my creative journey is that I am the ONLY podcaster in my family and I will be taking off with the show.
