Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.

The NM Reentry Center is committed to serving justice-involved men and women transitioning from incarceration. We provide personalized peer support, comprehensive case management, service navigation, and housing assistance.

NATASHA, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am someone who struggled with incarceration and addiction for years but was able to turn my life around by staying focused on my goals. Now, I have the opportunity to give back to those who are still struggling, offering them hope and support. By demonstrating a strong work ethic and guiding them through credit repair, I can show our people a new way of living, empowering them to achieve their dreams, including homeownership, becoming a business owners and how to be self sufficient.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

The stigma of being labeled a felon or drug addict is a harsh reality faced by many individuals trying to recover within a safe and understanding support system. However, with the right guidance, dedication, and resources, change and recovery are possible. I never thought I would reach the point where I am today, but through perseverance and support, I have found a path forward. This journey has shown me that overcoming these challenges is within reach, and I am committed to helping others find their way to a better future.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Begin by establishing your social media platforms and continue pushing ahead. Understand that you will encounter both supporters and critics along the way. Don’t let the negativity deter you from your path. Stay focused on your objectives and trust that your dedication will attract the right audience.
