We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Natasha Alexander. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Natasha below.
Natasha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Growing up, most of us, may not have had the opportunity to learn and grow with an actual mentor. We may have had parents, teachers, or others that we gleaned from but no one to intentionally pour into our lives to teach us about success, failures or life in general.
In college, I was blessed to have a mentor who encouraged me, stood with me in the tough times and pushed me beyond my own initial beliefs. When I didn’t have the desire to push myself, my mentor pushed me. When I didn’t really want to sacrifice my heart, time or energy on things, my mentor pushed me.
After I published the book, people started reaching out to me to ask for advice and Sacrificial Hearts Mentor Group took off!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In my younger days, it seemed that I was approached (more often than not) to provide advice to my friends and family about different and difficult things in life that seemed too hard to bare. I have been known to have unwavering faith even when others doubt or stop believing. I would be very candid and give my perspective based on how I truly felt within my heart. I never imagined that God would call me to be a mentor or an author and yet today, I am both.
After I got married, I had an overwhelming feeling to share our relationship journey in order to help others get past the pain and hurt they may have felt and are still holding on to in dealing with relationships and God. So I wrote a book called What’s Your Sacrifice? to share our story.
Leading up to sharing our story in 2019, I began creating a personal life assessment book that helps people to focus on emotional healing, staying focused and serving others.
Today, my husband Jonathan and I, mentor, counsel (couples, individuals and premarital) when we are not traveling or serving our community.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
The very unique thing about mentoring is that it can be life long or short term. I have been blessed to be able to stay connected with most of my mentees over the last several years via one on one Zoom sessions, in person meetings, phone calls, text messages, emails, etc.
The mentor program, Sacrificial Hearts, that has spun out of What’s Your Sacrifice? stands on three pillars:
1. be Healed.
2. stay Focused.
3. serve Wholeheartedly.
During the seven month program, each person is taught about each pillar and asked to continually progress forward in all three areas. While going through life, one of these pillars may be unbalanced and there will be a need for a God Driven, unjudged, candid conversation. Praying, crying, laughing and pushing accountability can happen all in the same conversation.
To me, brand loyalty when you are providing a service, is not so much about the look but rather how you made them feel, are you reliable and are you trustworthy. In my eyes, being myself is the best way to foster my brand loyalty!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth! Outside of having a few posts on social media and my website, Word of Mouth has been how I have received all of my clients/mentees!
When a person has a great experience, they will yell it from rooftops! When a client shares a story with others that changed their perspective or made them want to be better they become interested in having a mentor.
My website, https://www.drnatashabalexander.com/contact, has a page to connect with me and I am always open to new candid and honest conversations!
