We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Natasa Cvijanovic a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natasa, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
When I think about the legacy I hope to build with my studio, I envision a place where people feel empowered, confident, and beautiful inside and out. Through the services I provide—microblading, micro shading, lash extensions, fiberoblast plasma pen skin tightening—my goal is to offer transformative experiences that go beyond just physical appearance.
I hope that people will remember me as someone who genuinely cared about their well-being, always striving to enhance their natural beauty and boost their self-esteem. My dedication to continuously learning and incorporating nursing aesthetics into my practice reflects my commitment to offering the best possible care and results for my clients.
In the end, I want to be remembered for my passion for beauty and wellness, my compassionate approach, and my unwavering commitment to helping others look and feel their absolute best.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello everyone,
My journey into the beauty and wellness industry began with a passion for helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. With a background in various beauty services and a commitment to continuous learning, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering the art of enhancing natural beauty.
I offer a range of services including microblading, micro shading, lash extensions, fibroblast plasma pen skin tightening. Each service is designed to address different beauty needs, from creating perfectly shaped brows to achieving youthful, glowing skin. I aim to provide transformative experiences that not only enhance physical appearance but also boost self-esteem.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach to beauty. As I progress through nursing school with the intention of incorporating nursing aesthetics into my practice, I bring a unique blend of artistry and medical knowledge to my services. This ensures that my clients receive safe, effective treatments that prioritize their overall well-being.
I’m most proud of the trust and relationships I’ve built with my clients. Their satisfaction and confidence are the driving forces behind my work. I want potential clients to know that when they choose my services, they’re not just receiving a treatment; they’re investing in a personalized, caring experience tailored to their unique needs and goals.
My brand stands for empowerment, confidence, and the pursuit of beauty and wellness through expert care and genuine connection. I look forward to helping more people discover their best selves and feel truly radiant inside and out.
Thank you for your support and interest in my work.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One memorable story from my journey that truly illustrates resilience occurred early in my career. I had just started offering microblading services, and I was eager to build a reputation for excellence. One day, I had a client who came in with high expectations and specific requirements. Despite my best efforts, the procedure didn’t turn out as perfectly as I had hoped, and the client was understandably disappointed.
This experience was a major setback for me. It shook my confidence and made me question my abilities. However, instead of letting this situation define me, I chose to see it as an opportunity for growth. I took immediate steps to make things right for the client, offering a free correction session and ensuring that she left satisfied with the final result.
Beyond that, I dedicated myself to additional training, learning advanced techniques, and improving my skills. I also sought feedback from other professionals in the industry and incorporated their advice into my practice. This period of intense learning and self-improvement was challenging, but it was also incredibly rewarding.
As a result of this experience, I not only became a more skilled and confident professional, but I also developed a deeper understanding of the importance of perseverance and continuous improvement. I learned that setbacks are not failures; they are opportunities to become better and stronger.
Today, I am proud to say that I have built a loyal client base and a reputation for delivering exceptional results. This journey taught me that resilience is about facing challenges head-on, learning from them, and never giving up on your dreams.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One significant lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that perfection is the ultimate goal in my work. Here’s the backstory:
When I first started in the beauty industry, I was obsessed with achieving absolute perfection in every service I provided, whether it was microblading, lash extensions, or skin tightening. I believed that anything less than perfect was unacceptable and that clients expected flawless results every time. This mindset led me to set incredibly high standards for myself, often causing undue stress and anxiety.
The turning point came during a particularly busy week. I had a series of back-to-back appointments, and despite my best efforts, I made a small mistake during a microblading session. The client noticed and pointed it out immediately. I was devastated and felt like I had failed both the client and myself.
However, the client’s reaction surprised me. Instead of being angry or upset, she was understanding and appreciative of my honesty and willingness to correct the mistake. She valued the overall experience and the care I took in ensuring her satisfaction more than the minor imperfection. This experience taught me a powerful lesson: clients appreciate authenticity, empathy, and a commitment to their well-being far more than unattainable perfection.
From that moment on, I started to unlearn the idea that I had to be perfect. I embraced the concept of continuous improvement and focused on building strong, trusting relationships with my clients. I realized that mistakes are part of the learning process and that growth comes from acknowledging and addressing them.
This shift in mindset not only improved my mental well-being but also enhanced the quality of my work and the satisfaction of my clients. By letting go of the unrealistic pursuit of perfection, I was able to provide a more genuine, compassionate, and personalized service, ultimately leading to better outcomes and happier clients.
