Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natalie Wood. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Natalie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I believe it is important to give my clients nothing but the best. My kit consists of only the best top-quality products, and I keep myself current with up-to-date training. I am available for unlimited contact before the big day for any questions to ensure peace of mind. I am calm and patient during the service which is reassuring especially for those who are nervous or unsure of their chosen look.
Time… nobody is to feel rushed on the day. I make sure we leave an hour before everyone is to leave for the ceremony, this sets aside time for photos, presents, phone calls, touch ups and any last-minute missions that arise.
My mission is to give you the best from start to finish…

Natalie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been a Hairdresser & Make-Up artist for 20 years! I completed five years training. I am proud to say during this time I won an award for best Wella Stylist two years running.
Since then I have gone from strength to strength with my business. During the summer I have many wedding bookings, Autumn & Spring are more focused on film/TV production, editorial photoshoots, and trials for my lovely brides. Winter months consist of admin …. schedules, following up brides, arranging my content for social media for the upcoming months.
I have just finished my training in Microneedling & Fibroblast Plasma Pen. I have noticed my clients are taking much more care of their skin in recent years, so I decided to have some training which will give me more knowledge regarding the skin, this enables me to advice my clients on the best treatments for them. it will be great to be able to offer advice and treatments to my models and brides.
I have so many courses I would like to do… I wonder which one will be next…

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being reliable & quick to respond to my enquiries is so important. I have been told by many clients that I am the only person who has responded to their enquiry quickly. Yes, we are all busy in the hight of season & it isn’t always easy to set aside time to reply to all our enquiries, but it really is important to show our reliability & that we are efficient. This gives our client peace of mind & assurance that they can build a relationship with us.
I always make sure my clients know they can message me on the run up to the day about anything at all… boats, hotel recommendations, hen party options etc. This has definitely helped me build trust and a relationship.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Instagram seems to be the popular choice. I think it so easy to search your key words & find exactly what you need.
Luckily for me I have worked on some amazing shoots for Grazia, Elle, Loewe, Wedding Mag… This year I had my first front cover for Playboy. I have also been lucky enough to work with a few celebs which always helps me gain some street cred!
I am still learning and must admit I am not top of my game with understanding exactly how it works… however that said I do have some amazing images that show my skills. Hopefully this speaks for itself for now and I plan to set aside some time in the winter months to do a beginner’s guide to Instagram!!
