We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Natalie Sager. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Natalie below.
Alright, Natalie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
I am incredibly fortunate. I have incredibly supportive parents who have always encouraged me to follow my dreams and to never give up.
They encourage me to pursue my passions, explore life’s possibilities, and constantly educate myself.
My dad used to say that everything can be taken away from you: money, house, clothes, material items, etc, but no one cane ever take away your education.
I remember him telling me that as a child and it has always stuck with me. He would say you are never too old to learn something new!
I think often of those words and remind myself that if I am unhappy, bored or simply complacent with life, do something about it. Take action.
Learn a new skill, ignite that old passion and start living your life…your best life.
With this attitude, I have truly been blessed with the “I love to learn” mentality which has pushed me in the direction of my life’s passion- teaching, writing and learning…
My mom has given me so much love, attention, wisdom, experience and tenacity. I attribute my discipline, dedication, determination, structure and logic to her. She has and continues to be the most wonderful mother anyone could have chosen.
My house growing up was as tidy and organized as my after-school activities. She was and continues to be a super mom always there as a compassionate and wise ear, a loving shoulder, and an open heart.
She and my dad have and continue to emulate the most shining example of unconditional love and support.
I can only hope and dream that my own children feel as loved, cared for, safe and protected as my parents made me feel growing up.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Being able to read people. To connect with them on a soul level. To be so comfortable in your own vibration that you are able to sit still, hold space and just be completely present with another person. Acknowledging their worth through silence and attention as opposed to words of reflection or projection. This is a gift from God, perhaps a potentially learned-skill, a deeper more authentic way of guiding the souls who come into our lives for the reason, the season or the lifetime.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Infinitely and eternally, I would and believe I have chosen the same calling. As it has called me many times before and it is a complete energetic alignment for my essence.
There is an adage that sates that “if you teach yoga in this lifetime, then you have taught yoga in past lives. And, if you are a student of yoga in this life, you too have been a student in previous lifetimes.”
There are so many ways to pull someone away from their center. Distractions of life, of love, of career, of finances, of health, of relationships, etc. The list goes on and on, it could almost be comical how many ways there are to rob us of our potential enjoyment. The most consistent common denominator in obtaining pure source Connection and undeniable presence of mind and spirit- is when I teach.
