We were lucky to catch up with Natalie Rose Campbell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Natalie Rose, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had started sooner?

Hi, absolutely. Thank you for having me. I’m Natalie Rose Campbell, an artist by trade. I do both makeup and hair for tv/film, red carpet, and campaigns. I started doing makeup in high school, then makeup school right after. I was full-time with hair and makeup by the time I was 21. On the side, during covid, I started a handmade jewelry business that combined something I’ve always loved doing, rockhounding and collecting minerals, and then turning them into a custom piece someone can cherish forever. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and finally pulled the trigger to make another leap of faith into the unknown when I had the time, support, and space to do so. I’m my spare time, I’m an avid hiker, camper, backpacker, and rock climber. I love to do anything outdoors and in nature.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Any advice for growing your clientele?

Putting yourself out there. Build connections. I had to learn to not be the shy girl anymore. Be kind and genuine. Don’t have an ego. And being aware of people’s needs has helped me more than anything in this industry. Networking, being yourself, and being consistent. To not be afraid to take risks and knowing when to pull back.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Well, I’ve been doubted by just about everyone in my life when I was starting. I used that as fuel to keep on going and to prove to myself I can do it. My dad always rooted me on, though! I even brought him to set once and he loved it. The model was so sweet to him.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

What’s been most effective for you? Letting people know more about my hobbies and who I am personally has made people more interested and connected to me. Not just my professions.
