We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Natalie Lee Martin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Natalie , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
My first client I received that wasn’t a friend, family, or referral from either of those was a huge milestone for me. I had heard this particular person on a social media app discussing her need for clarity in her business. She was struggling to narrow down her focus and it was negatively impacting her daily decisions. I reached out to her in a private message and explained that I had just created my C3 Clarity Framework to help entrepreneurs gain clarity on their call to the marketplace. Since she was the very first person I offered the framework to, all I wanted in return was a testimonial and what she thought the session was worth. By the end of the session she said, “I gave you a thousand piece puzzle and you created a complete picture.”
I really couldn’t contain my excitement because this framework came out of my struggle to find clarity in my business. My first year as an entrepreneur, I made approximately $1000. Now I charge $500 for this 2 hour session. Since that initial session, I have helped over 100 clients gain clarity in their business and life.
Natalie , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I began my life coaching business in the Summer of 2020. By January 2021, I had obtained 15 clients but was still unsure of what my unique call was to the marketplace. I then reached out to several coaches to seek clarity. It was during that time, I was named The Mom CEO Coach by one of my coaches, however, something still didn’t feel quite right. In December 2021, I was so frustrated and confused that I decided to shut the business down and utilized that time to dig deep. It was during that month that I became really clear about what solution I was called to solve. Out of my own search for clarity, the C3 Clarity Framework was created which uniquely positioned me to help other business owners get clear about their call, company, and clients. No more aimless pursuits or implementation of various good ideas. No more searching the marketplace to find what is needed. I help entrepreneurs gain more clarity, clients, and increased cash flow using my C3 Clarity Framework!
My mission is to help entrepreneurs gain clarity and establish long-term success in the marketplace while staying on target with the vision of their company. Because every visionary deserves to see with clarity, build with confidence and grow their legacy for the next generation. I am so happy that my clients have been finding success in the marketplace. One client made a $5,000 sale after a session with me. Another made $9,000 in her program after our session. Other clients have been saying that contractors find it much easier to work with them because of the clarity they’ve received. What sets me apart from other business coaches is the clarity I have and my faith in God. I know who I am and I am clear that I am the solution to any confusion that may exist in your company. Clarity leads to confidence and confidence leads to consistency and consistency is the key to conversion. When you have clarity, opportunities do not look like problems and vice versa!

I quietly launched my Clarity to Execute Academy in April and the feedback has been nothing short of extraordinary. I currently offer a 9-week and 9-month program to help entrepreneurs get the clarity they need to execute the vision God gave them for their business. My goal is to ensure that visionaries create a compelling vision for the future. A vision that inspires change and innovation, and creates a better future for the next generation.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The one thing that has help build my reputation within the market is my authenticity. I openly share my entrepreneurial journey with my audience. I have had lots of challenges and victories. I don’t hold anything back. (Sometimes, I wish I did!) But I’m truly honest about my expertise and ignorance. This has allowed me to build trust with those I serve in my community. Establishing that know, like and trust factor with your audience is so important and as you evolve as an entrepreneur, its important to share your journey so people do not get confused about who you are, who you serve and how you can help them get the transformation they need. Because of my transparency and authenticity, there were times that I showed up in the marketplace confused but my audience was very forgiving as I got my act together.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
From a very young age I believed that money was evil. As I began to study business and the Bible simultaneously, I recognized that scriptures were inaccurately taught to me. It actually states that “The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil.” That’s quite different from the story I was told as a child and so in order for me to embrace my entrepreneurial side I had to unlearn all I was taught about money being evil. Just the mere thought of selling would cause an anxiety attack. Now I am serving and selling on a daily basis. I had to unlearn that entrepreneurship is only for the select few who are willing to go down the dark path of greed and overindulgence. After taking several business courses with Harvard, MIT and others through Edx.org, I have come to realize that small businesses are vital to the economy. Now everyday I wake up and declare, “My business is NECESSARY for the growth of the economy.” And so is yours!
