Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natalie Falletta. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Natalie, appreciate you joining us today. Any thoughts around creating more inclusive workplaces?
Well, this one is fun! I would say my specialty is brows! I LOVE LOVE doing brows. It’s an artwork in itself. Everyone’s brows are different with a unique style and look. Facials and peels bring a different gratification. Having someone come in with troubled skin and trusting me to transform it is so rewarding. That’s what makes my job special, personable and individualized to each person that walks into Natalie Falletta Skin Care.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started my love for skin care in 2007. I have always been infatuated with the skin and beauty Industry. At 23 years old and waiting tables, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I met a girl one day and she started doing my brows. I love what she did, so then I started doing facials with her. Every time I went in there, I was intrigued by what she was doing and became very curious of that industry as a whole. After years of appointments, she became more than just my esthetician – she was a friend. As we chatted, like we did every session, she kindly asked what my future career plans were. I said, “not sure at the moment.” She suggested beauty school to me because she knew I had a love and passion for this type of work. So now, my friend became my mentor. She set me up and told me where to go. I completed school, got my license and I was off!!! I was lucky enough to find a job right out of school. I worked for them for ten years before I decided to step away and start my own business, Natalie Falletta Skin Care. As of today, I’m six years in to working for myself and could not be happier!! I love all my clients, who are not just clients, but friends. It’s one of those jobs where I can honestly say that I love what I do. I get to see people I love on a daily basis. My clients and family are my support team, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Honesty & Trust.
I take my time with each client and get to know them on a more personal level. If I don’t think they need that service I won’t sell it to them. I keep them happy with each service but also have them trust me in what I think is best for them when they come in.

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
I would say the biggest struggles/ near death experience would’ve been the pandemic of 2020. I was terrified that I wasn’t going to be able to keep my business open, as I watched so many small businesses have to close their doors. I put my blood, sweat and tears into my business, so the thought of losing it all was terrifying.
