Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natalie Blanco. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Natalie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
For Magic Helpers our All-Inclusive Airbnb Housekeeping company- we were the first ones in Austin to create the business we have. We decided to hyper-focus on Hotel-style cleaning, instead of the regular residential cleaning you can find for the masses. We went all out and niched-out to a very small market. This market eventually became bigger and bigger and we grew with it. We started implementing even more hotel-like qualities to our operation and business and started providing a very detailed set of services that has made us 100% different than anything out there.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Would love to! My background was in Transportation & Hospitality. I ran the biggest parking and commercial real estate parking garage company in Puerto Rico. I later came to Austin, did something similar and decided to start my own company. I created Magic Helpers because it was a business that didn’t exist. Airbnb & STR owners didn’t have the all-in-one company that met their needs. I took a huge leap of faith and started a business that didn’t exist here in Austin and that had a very small market… It worked though!
With our service, Airbnb & STR owners WILL have peace of mind. We have built an operation that meets all of their needs, from the pre-cleaning inspection of the property so they can review their guests and not have to be there physically to do so, to the hotel-like cleaning, staging & housekeeping, to the linen service, trash bin management…. you name it. We do it. That’s why we call it- The All-Inclusive Service.
I am very proud of our happiness conversion, I am really proud of how far our team has come and to keep servicing these customers that didn’t have an all-in-one solution prior to knowing Magic Helpers!

Have you ever had to pivot?
We’ve had to pivot so many times since we started Magic Helpers, that we should be called the Pivot Kings. Our first hiccup was about 2 years ago when the City of Austin was making STRs illegal and they started a department to catch all customers who didn’t have a permit. By catching I mean closing their business, which then-affected our business because all we do is STR. When this happened, we had to pivot and pivot quickly. Luckily, as a “cleaning service”, we were able to change our business structure into accepting regular residential homes. Once this legal battle settled down, we went back to our regular services we were known for.
Later 2020, while all services and other companies were closed, we remained open. We quickly knew Covid was going to change the game Travel industry and so we planned ahead. We were already 10 steps ahead from everyone because we remained opened but started implementing a rigorous cleaning and sanitation process before it was even a “thing”. Luckily, I’m a planner so before this hit the fan, we already had all the equipment we could possibly need to protect our team, our customer’s and our guests.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
When I started Magic Helpers, I started with my own savings and kept re-investing it into the business that’s become now.
Now, we actually have many opportunities from business investors to invest on the business, but I like to do things solo, makes it more challenging and rewarding.
