We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Natacha Barthelemy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Natacha below.
Hi Natacha, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I didn’t wake up one day and say, “Let me start a business.” I got pushed into it by life—and pulled into it by purpose.
I’m Haitian, born and raised in Haiti, and I immigrated to the U.S. I know what it feels like to be smart, hardworking, and full of dreams… but still feel like you’re trying to decode a system that wasn’t built with you in mind. I also spent years in high-pressure roles—sales for over 20 years, and even as a 911 operator—so I’m wired to stay calm in chaos, listen deeply, and help people find solutions when they feel overwhelmed.
By the time I started IamfabulousBiz, I kept seeing the same pattern in my community and with other immigrants: people had talent, hustle, and a real business idea—but they were stuck at the foundation. They didn’t know how to structure their business properly, how to become “fundable,” how to build business credit, how to write a real business plan, how to get certified, or how to apply for grants and loans the right way. And on top of that, language barriers, fear, and misinformation were everywhere. People were paying for advice that wasn’t clear, wasn’t culturally aware, and didn’t come with accountability.
The moment it clicked for me was when I attended a transformative business workshop in 2021. Something shifted. I realized: “Wait… I’m not just here to survive. I’m here to build something that changes the trajectory for other people like me.” I felt emotional—because it wasn’t just about money. It was about dignity. It was about legacy. It was about breaking cycles.
So the idea for my business came from a very specific picture:
An immigrant entrepreneur with a dream, but no roadmap
A business owner who is working hard, but still can’t access funding
Someone who has been told “no” so many times they start believing they’re not good enough
People who don’t need motivation only—they need structure, strategy, and someone to walk with them step-by-step
That’s where the logic came in.
I knew it would work because:
The problem was real and constant. Every day, people were asking the same questions: “How do I register my business? What do I need for a grant? Why did I get denied? How do I build business credit? What does a lender want?”
The gap in the market was obvious. There were consultants, yes—but not many who could combine real business knowledge with cultural fluency, language support (English, French, Haitian Creole), and a heart for the community.
I had proof early. Even in the beginning, I started helping people get organized, compliant, and confident—and results started showing up. That momentum told me, “This is not just a good idea. This is needed.”
Was I solving something no one else was solving? In a way, yes—because I wasn’t just offering “business services.” I was offering a bridge.
My unique approach is that I don’t just give information and send you on your way. I’m an accountability partner. I help you build the foundation so your business can stand in rooms where money is being distributed—grants, loans, contracts, certifications—and you actually belong there. And I do it with warmth, clarity, and respect for the immigrant experience.
What excited me most was the impact: the thought that someone could go from “I don’t know where to start” to “My business is real, registered, fundable, and growing”—and that their children would see a different future because of it.
That’s why I built IamfabulousBiz. It’s not just a business to me. It’s a mission. It’s community wealth. It’s empowerment. It’s proof that when you give people the right tools and the right support, they don’t just survive—they build legacy.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Natacha Barthelemy, and I’m the founder of IamfabulousBiz (Iamfabulous, LLC), a consulting and coaching company based in Miami Lakes, Florida. I was born and raised in Haiti and immigrated to the United States—so everything I do is rooted in the lived experience of building a life and a legacy while navigating systems that can feel confusing, intimidating, and sometimes unfair for immigrants and minority business owners.
Before entrepreneurship, I built my career in high-pressure, high-performance environments. I have over 20 years of sales experience—especially in major appliances and furniture—and I was a top sales representative. I also worked as a 911 operator for a major government agency in South Florida, which shaped my ability to stay calm, listen deeply, and guide people through stressful situations with clarity and compassion. I hold a BA in Homeland Security, and over the years I’ve also pursued training and certifications that strengthened my business expertise and leadership, including graduating from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (GS10KSB) and earning a Spiritual Director Coach certificate through Thrive with Dr. Dharius Daniels.
How I got into this work
I didn’t enter this industry because it was trendy—I entered it because I kept seeing a painful pattern: talented, hardworking immigrant entrepreneurs with real businesses were still being locked out of funding, structure, and opportunity. They had the hustle, but they didn’t have the roadmap. Many were overwhelmed by incorporation, compliance, business credit, business plans, grants, loans, and certifications. Some were being misled by misinformation or paying for services that didn’t actually move them forward.
In 2021, after attending a transformative business workshop, something clicked for me. I realized I was called to be a bridge—someone who could translate the system, simplify the steps, and walk with people until they were truly positioned to win. That moment became the foundation of IamfabulousBiz.
What I offer (services + support)
IamfabulousBiz helps entrepreneurs build fundable, compliant, and scalable businesses. I support clients in English, French, and Haitian Creole, and I work with both new and established business owners.
My services include:
Business formation and incorporation support
Business plan development (including grant-ready business plans)
Business credit setup and funding readiness
Grant and loan application support
Business certification guidance
Licensing and compliance support
Strategic coaching and accountability coaching
Branding support, plus website and graphic design (for clients who need it)
Community-based education and mentorship (and I’m building even more in this area)
I’ve served over 200 small business owners since 2021, and I’ve helped clients secure over $200K in funding opportunities and outcomes through better preparation, positioning, and application strategy.
The problems I solve
Most of my clients don’t lack motivation—they lack structure and access.
I help people:
Stop guessing and start building correctly
Get organized and compliant so they can qualify for opportunities
Understand what lenders, grantors, and agencies actually look for
Build confidence because they finally have a clear plan
Move from “I’m just trying things” to “I have a real business that can grow”
What sets me apart
A few things truly make my approach different:
Cultural fluency + language access
I understand the immigrant mindset, the barriers, and the fears—because I lived it. And being able to serve in English, French, and Haitian Creole removes a major barrier for many clients.
I’m an accountability partner, not just a consultant
I don’t just give information. I help clients implement. I’m structured, checklist-oriented, and outcome-focused—because results matter.
I blend heart and strategy
My work is purpose-driven, but it’s also practical. I will encourage you, but I will also tell you the truth and guide you step-by-step.
Proven results with real people
I’ve helped everyday entrepreneurs—food vendors, pop-up owners, logistics businesses, nonprofits, and service providers—build legitimate, fundable operations.
What I’m most proud of
I’m proud that IamfabulousBiz is bigger than me—it’s impact.
I’m proud of:
The clients who went from overwhelmed to funded and confident
Building a business that serves community wealth and legacy, not just profit
Creating a trusted brand that people refer through word-of-mouth because they feel seen, respected, and supported
My personal growth as a leader and author (I’ve published two books: The Beast Inside of Me – My Weapon to Freedom and Men Take Back Your Power – Rediscovering Dominion)
Staying rooted in faith, integrity, and service while still building something scalable and powerful
What I want people to know about me and my brand
If you’re a potential client, follower, or supporter, here are the main things I want you to know:
I believe your business can be built the right way—even if you feel behind.
I don’t judge where you’re starting. I help you move forward with clarity.
I’m here for the long game: structure, funding readiness, compliance, and legacy.
IamfabulousBiz is about empowerment. I want you to be able to sit at tables where opportunities are shared—and belong there confidently.
We’re building more than businesses—we’re building generational change.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective way I’ve grown my clientele has been word of mouth, and it’s directly tied to credibility.
In my business, people don’t just refer you because you have a nice logo or a good Instagram page—they refer you because they trust you. Many of my clients are immigrant entrepreneurs and first-generation business owners, and they’re often navigating high-stakes decisions: forming an LLC, applying for grants or loans, building business credit, getting certified, staying compliant. If you give the wrong guidance, it can cost them money, time, and confidence. So when someone finds a consultant who is solid, they hold onto that—and they tell their circle.
Here’s why word of mouth has worked so well for me:
Results create referrals. When clients see progress—getting structured, becoming fundable, submitting strong applications, or finally understanding the process—they naturally share who helped them.
I lead with integrity and transparency. I’m honest about what’s possible, what’s required, and what steps we need to take. That builds long-term trust.
I’m culturally aware and accessible. I serve clients in English, French, and Haitian Creole, and I understand the immigrant experience. That makes people feel safe, seen, and understood—so they recommend me to family and friends.
I don’t just advise—I hold people accountable. My clients know I’m not here to “talk business.” I’m here to help them execute with structure and clarity, and that’s a big part of why they feel confident referring others.
At the end of the day, my reputation has been my marketing. Word of mouth has been powerful because it’s built on something you can’t fake: consistent service, real outcomes, and trust.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of my biggest stories of resilience is how I started my entrepreneurship journey with no money in the bank—but I still refused to let my vision die.
When I made the decision to step into entrepreneurship, I didn’t have a big savings account or investors waiting to support me. What I had was faith, discipline, and a willingness to do the work even when it was uncomfortable. I literally built my business using my credit card—to invest in coaching sessions, to learn what I didn’t know, and to make sure I was building the right foundation from day one.
And I didn’t just “hope” things would work out. I treated my business like it was already real—because it was.
Every month, month in and month out, I stayed committed to the basics that most people skip:
Making sure my paperwork was in order
Keeping my business organized and compliant
Building my structure the right way, even when nobody was clapping yet
Showing up consistently, even when the money wasn’t showing up yet
There were moments I felt the pressure—because when you’re using credit to build, you’re carrying risk. But I kept reminding myself: this is not a gamble, this is an investment in my calling. I knew that if I stayed disciplined and stayed ready, the opportunity would eventually meet my preparation.
And that’s exactly what happened.
About a year later, I received my first grant. That moment was more than just financial relief—it was confirmation. It was proof that the work I was doing behind the scenes mattered. That grant didn’t just help me in that season—it set me up for success, because it validated my process and gave me momentum to keep building, keep serving, and keep expanding.
That experience is why I teach what I teach today: you don’t have to start with a lot of money—you have to start with structure, consistency, and the decision not to quit. If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.
