We were lucky to catch up with Nashville Collective recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nashville Collective, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
When Madeline and I (Bonnie) both moved to Nashville from out of state, we connected through social media and instantly hit it off. Eager to meet new people, network, and attend exciting events, we came up with the idea to create Nashville Collective. After designing a logo and branding, we turned to the platform that brought us together—social media. We launched an Instagram account, started posting, and our brand quickly gained momentum. Within six months, Nashville Collective saw remarkable growth, leading to collaborations with major brands like Dyson, Aperol Spritz, and others! More than just a social club, Nashville Collective has become a welcoming community that unites local businesses, influencers, and organizations. We’re passionate about fostering connections and creating an inclusive, supportive space that appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds, offering a diverse range of events for everyone to enjoy.
Nashville Collective, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Nashville Collective was founded to redefine Nashville’s social scene for locals who thrive in both their professional and social lives. We’re a vibrant community that connects post-grads and young professionals with fun events, such as pop-ups and social experiences Nashville has to offer. We create spaces where our members can form genuine friendships and network with like-minded local professionals.
What sets us apart is our focus on building a curated, supportive community. From mingling at rooftop bars to exploring Nashville’s trendiest new shopping, we’re proud to bring together a group that celebrates balance, style, and empowerment. If you’re ready to join Nashville’s inner circle and connect with women who truly get it, we’d love to welcome you to Nashville Collective.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Madeline and I (Bonnie) first connected through social media. Madeline commented on my TikTok (@shopwithbon), where I’d posted about recently moving to Nashville and looking for friends. We both love fashion and social media, work in sales, and are passionate about marketing and advertising—so we instantly clicked. We thought starting a group that encompassed everything we loved would help us connect with other like-minded people in Nashville, and that’s how Nashville Collective was born.
What started as a fun way to meet people with similar interests has blossomed into something more. Our friendship has evolved to also being business partners, where we’re constantly inspiring each other to dream bigger and bring our vision to life. Working together as both friends and partners has been such an amazing experience, and we’re so grateful to support each other while growing Nashville Collective into everything we’d dreamed of—and more.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Starting Nashville Collective was truly a grassroots effort—we built it completely from scratch with zero initial capital. We created the logo, designed all our branding, and developed social media content ourselves, all without spending a dime. Instead of relying on funding, we focused on collaborating with other local businesses. By exchanging our advertising and marketing support for their services, we were able to secure event spaces, discounts, and unique experiences for our members.
Our approach allows us to keep Nashville Collective free and accessible, creating a welcoming community where everyone feels included. We’re proud of these collaborations and see them as a key part of what makes our events and partnerships so meaningful. Our goal is to continue working with Nashville’s local businesses to bring our members incredible events while supporting and showcasing the vibrant community around us.
