We were lucky to catch up with Narvie Madison recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Narvie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

I worked in Corporate America for 10 years. In 2020, I lost my mom and my job. I decided to pursue my passions and create content showing my life with my piglet. We travel in our camper van and explore as many new places as we can. It was the best decision I ever made. My mental health is a million times better. I’m learning valuable life lessons and figuring out how to navigate life without the support system I depended on for so long. It’s been a wild ride, but worth every minute.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

Currently I’m working on a swim, athliesure, lingerie brand (narvie.co) and building a brand for my piglet Pumba Sunflower.

Both brands are about living in the moment, travel, and taking care of your mental health.

It has been very tricky navigating. I currently am looking for investors that can take my brands to the next level. I have had some set backs but not giving up on my visions. I know it is trial and error.

I have built these brands using our social media platforms. NarvieSunflower (previously narvie.co) on Instagram is at 113,000 followers and PumbaSunflower on Tiktok is at 180,000 followers.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I launched www.narvie.co in February this year and was very excited about marketing and promoting. As mentioned earlier, it is a swim, lingerie, and athleisure wear brand. There have been some issues with the initial investors but I’m not giving up until this e-commerce site is the success I envision. It is very frustrating when timelines and commitments are not fulfilled. You can’t allow this to deter you from the end goal. I just wake up everyday and do what I can. I know I can’t control what others do. I just know I can never give up until I accomplish what I set out to do.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I’m having to pivot right now. All my energy was placed in building a brand centered around www.narvie.co. Due to some unforseen issues, my focus is now on building a brand on my piglet’s likeness and image. I am also focusing on creating art in my van. We go LIVE on Tiktok and share our daily adventures as much as possible. The social media arena is new for a lot of us. I never know what can happen, but that makes it exciting. I live for the excitement.
