We were lucky to catch up with Narkis Eserig recently and have shared our conversation below.
Narkis, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Coming up with the name for my business took a bit of time to describe what I love and make it catchy at the same time. My love to travel has been a big part of my life, which I wasn’t able to travel much as a child… as I grew older and started making my own money I decided that no matter what life throws at me I will make time and put the money aside to take that trip, which I do live by it.
My favorite place to travel to is the Beach, no matter where it is, as long as the beach is within a short reach…
And this is how my business name was “born” BeachWave Travel.
The ocean/ Beach is full of waves that travel across the world, just the same way I would like to travel.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My Name is Narkis Eserig, I was born and raised in Israel and moved to NYS in 2002 and never left. I have 2 kids who have the bug of traveling just as much as I do… I love to learn and immerse myself with new destinations and cultures.
I am very versatile and able to mold into a situation and make the best of it, as life throws different curves at us, and we have to adjust accordingly.
I was a soldier, waitress, nanny, barber/ hairdresser, among other things, and I am still growing as a person and strive to settle down somewhere by the beach where a cold long winter will be only a choice to be a part of…

Life is Short, Travel More!
Have you ever had to pivot?
Yes, I think we all go through life and have to pivot in one way or another, either by choice or a necessity.
I used to cut men’s hair as a full time job, but once the pandemic took over the world I needed something I could do from just about anywhere, and stumbled upon this opportunity to be a remote travel agent. I thought to myself- I’ve been booking my own, friend’s and family’s vacation plans forever, so why not turn this into a business. I love to learn about new destinations and cultures. As a travel agent I get to learn about many different ways of travel, destinations I didn’t know much about, and this definitely opened my eyes and heart to learn in more depth virtually and in person about what the world has to offer.
I specialize in all inclusive and cruise destinations, but I do put together trips/ packages that include hotel or resort stays as well.
I keep up with all the latest trends within the travel industry.
I do the research and spend hours on creating the best possible travel accommodations to my clients to stay within their budget and needs.
Allowing my clients to sit back and relax while I do all the leg work, so they can relax and enjoy making memories with their loved ones.
I love what I do, and take pride in what I offer to my clients. I put myself in their shoes to make sure they are happy and satisfied with what they are getting for their upcoming travels. Not everything would be perfect, but I do make sure they are aware of what is realistic for what their expectations are when it comes to their budget and wants/ needs.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my social media presence wasn’t easy and still needs work to make my brand more visible.
I reached out to close friends and family to follow, share and even leave feedback about my credibility.
I post daily and do so as often as possible, I was told by others that the posting should be done at least 3 times a day… but again, time is limited when there are so many factors in our everyday lives. But there are some free resources to help us populate some automatic posts or even schedule them for the future.
I also found that there are a lot of other people or groups out there that do try to make money by doing all of this for us, which is great, but how do we know for sure it’s not a scam… I am still sorting through all of that and just politely say, thank you but I’m not interested.
We have to take the time and build our business, it takes time, effort and money… It is frustrating at times, but it will all be worth it once we reach our goals and create new ones!
Consistency will pay off.
