Nariah , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.

My mom did an amazing jog with showing me how to get something done and pushing through all the bad things to make it happen. My mom is the strongest woman I know and she has pushed through everything that has held her back. She taught me determination and dedication and making sure the world sees you for who you’re

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is nariah mason, I’m the CEO of wasted youth which is a group slowly making its out of the shadows. We are a group of extraordinary creatives in the city of Houston who would love to bring light to the creative scene here. I think Houston is currently represented by its night life and now by the artistic aspects. We have so many talented and creatively blessed individuals that don’t have a place to showcase their work and we want to build that . We are trying to get the brand up currently so that we can start giving some of our proceeds to charity’s around the city. Next year in March we plan on throwing some fashion based events that will change Houston history. But we’re next and we want to bring the best to Houston

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

I met the core members at different points in the same month. Me and Jay went to highschool and reconnected through t friends. We met nick and skittles at their own event which is crazy to think about. I met Khalil shortly after at a shoot and then Cristian and I have been friends for 7 years. We all bonded over months and it’s just a family now.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

New York fashion 2023, my first time in New York was the biggest momentum change. We meet so many great people like Cameronreed. Bb Simon, miles baguette and other creators. That trip showed us that anything was possible
