Naomi , appreciate you joining us today. Was there an experience or lesson you learned at a previous job that’s benefited your career afterwards?

Through my teaching jobs I realized that I absolutely love teaching, but I struggled deeply to be in an 8-4 position. I needed to teach, but I needed freedman. Through years of feeling that and navigating what that feeling meant, it pushed me to work very hard to be able to leave my full time job.

Naomi , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Naomi Zwelling owner of Rapunzel’s Radiance LLC! I am a licensed Hair and Makeup Artist, Makeup Therapist and Beauty Educator. My passion is to make people feel exceptionally beautiful from the inside out and the outside in! I have worked in bridal, commercial sets, live productions, photoshoots and more! We have one life to live, let’s make it beautiful!

I got into the industry after finding that I wanted to be able to have 2 careers to set myself up for success. My other career is in education. I now teach beauty education in person and online and I love using both passions and careers.

I am proud of working hard and building the hybrid of my education into my entrepreneurial lifestyle.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal is to make sure that people understand the magic of makeup and beauty. The way understanding makeup can truly be a tool of confidence and strength is what i hope to teach people. The understanding that you don’t need a stitch of makeup to be beautiful all while knowing that you have the skills at your fingertips to get you ready for your next big hurdle.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

I love being able to watch people love what they see in the mirror and helping people create beauty routines that make them feel empowered and at ease.
