Naomi, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you manage your own social media?

In this day and age, social media plays a huge role in todays society. As a small business owner, I manage my own social media. My challenge with this is being consistent on creating content. I would like to have a team in the future to help manage and grow my business.

Naomi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hi there! My name is Naomi, and I am the owner of The Omi Tee. The Omi Tee, LLC, is a collection of t-shirts and hoodies for both men, women, and even your little ones. We also specialize in custom orders for any occasion.

Not only am I a small business owner, I’m also a mother and educator. I started my business at the beginning of the pandemic, in 2020, while teaching from home. I knew a few things about t shirt making, so I did some research and got the ball rolling. Of course with trying something new, there was some trial and error. At one point, two of my heat press’ went out on me, so I had to find quick solutions.

The Omi Tee always strives to provide top notch customer service to our customers. Our tees and hoodies are soft in quality, and guaranteed to become your favorite tee.

I’m most proud of the success of my business especially in a pandemic. This was a time of uncertainty for many, and I was able to still keep my business a float, and keep my family healthy.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is being able to connect with people. Putting my small business out there, participating in different vending opportunities, building my email list, and providing top tier customer service to my customers.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.

My site, www.theomitee.com, is powered through Shopify. I prefer Shopify because it easy to navigate. Everything is easily accessible through the app if I need to add products, alter inventory, keep track of my orders etc.
