Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nanxy Wang. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Nanxy, thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I believe that each of us has a unique purpose in life, and mine has always been to bring positivity to the world and inspire personal growth through my work. As a teacher, oracle, and designer, communication and emotional expression are central to my mission. I am deeply attuned to people’s emotions and energies, and I feel compelled to reach out to those experiencing mental challenges. My ultimate goal is to create a lasting impact by developing my own culture, theories, and ideas that continue to inspire others long after I’m gone. In the fast-paced world of fashion, where trends come and go, I aspire to create enduring works that resonate deeply with individuals. My current project, the Fashion Identity Oracle deck, embodies my life philosophy—a reflection of my journey as both an artist and a human being.
The deck goes beyond mere imagery; it’s imbued with layers of meaning and hidden messages—like Easter eggs waiting to be discovered. I hope that my system of cards sparks discussions and encourages individuals to seek balance in their lives, just as they explore the balance within each card. Ultimately, I want to be remembered as someone who left behind a legacy of inspiration and introspection, fostering a deeper connection between art, spirituality, and personal fulfilment.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Nanxy Wang, known as That Fashion Witch on social medias and in the industry. I use art and fashion as mediums for practices, aiming to inspire people and help them with their personal spiritual growth. I use different art forms and fashion products to state my spiritual thoughts, so with those experience, it make me has various identities in the creative industry. I am a fashion designer, graphic designer, a painter, a henna tattoo artist, a teacher and a witch who does rituals and oracle readings.
Following my graduation from the London College of Fashion in 2018, I founded my brand Northeast Nancy in London. It was a menswear brand, inspired by subcultures around the world. Fashion to me is a tool to state one’s identity in the society, it visualise our personality and mood on the body, so with the name of the brand it also states my identity; Northeast Nancy represents more than just a label, it stands for a person, a community, and a culture. We encourage individuals to leverage fashion as a means of self-expression, share their unique fashion identity in the community.
Now, Northeast Nancy Ltd. is a fashion and lifestyle company dedicated to nurturing individual inner growth and empowerment, seamlessly reflected through outward style and life. Our mission is to craft products infused with a touch of magic, each bearing profound meaning for individuals as they showcase their unique identities. We aspire to inspire positive transformations towards a better self through our offerings.
Currently, our main product is Fashion Identity Oracle Deck, it is a unique system that inspired by the traditional tarot deck, astrology, psychology and fashion elements. This unique deck seamlessly blends occultism with fashion, offering individuals personalized fashion recommendations based on their current energy. I think dressing is a way of manifestation, wearing the right elements can boost and attract our thoughts and energy.
We also provide services like oracle energy reading and henna tattoos, we firstly read your energy and see what elements the cards suggests, then came up a henna design based on their reading results and draw on them as a blessing.

Have you ever had to pivot?
During my time at the Royal College of Art in 2019, I became increasingly aware of the environmental impact and overconsumption prevalent in the fashion industry, which is recognized as one of the most polluting industries worldwide. This realization prompted a significant shift in my approach. I made a deliberate decision to transition away from traditional garment production and instead focus on sustainable fashion practices.
Recognizing the abundance of existing clothing on our planet, I sought to influence consumer behaviour by creating designs that inspire people to cherish and creatively repurpose their current wardrobe. This commitment to sustainability culminated in the conceptualization and design of the Fashion Identity Oracle Deck, a project born out of my exploration into spirituality and the occult in 2020.
Looking ahead, I aim to reintroduce physical items tailored to individual emotional connections. By creating pieces that hold personal significance for the wearer, I believe we can cultivate a culture of mindful consumption and longevity in fashion.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Social media has been a game-changer for me in promoting my work. Specifically, platforms like TikTok and Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) have been incredibly effective. Their algorithms work wonders by exposing my content to new audiences who share an interest in fashion and spirituality.
Additionally, collaborating with various organizations and fellow artists has proven invaluable. When our values align, their communities often become interested in my work too. It’s a positive cycle—individual connections lead to more introductions and opportunities.
