We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nancy Verdule. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nancy below.
Hi Nancy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project that I am working on currently is my podcast : Feel Deal Heal with Nancy Verdule. The reason why it is meaningful to me is because, I wanted to be a light in a time where our society is experiencing a lot of darkness. So many people have been affected by this pandemic in multitudes of ways: financially, emotionally, physically and mentally. There is so many headlines about the state of our country inflation, raising gas prices, housing market, food drought and most recently a recession. The reality is a lot of us are not okay, the aftermath of Covid on our mental health is not being discussed enough. I created my podcast because I want every person who has felt unseen, unheard and invisible during this whole pandemic. Who has felt discarded , discouraged, and even those who are still trying to figure things out. I wanted to acknowledge those individuals. Because we all at some point in our lives have felt every last one of things and haven’t had a voice that has brought it to the forefront. I’ve had countless conversations with my friends and family and so many have experienced being depressed, having anxiety and even have contemplated suicide. The reality is too many people have been isolated too long not only in the physical sense but in their mental. I wanted my podcast to shed light on the real things that people are battling . Using my voice to advocate for those who are voiceless or may have felt that no one cares to listen to their issues. I wanted to create a safe space where any creed, color, male or female would be able to express themselves without any judgement. Too many people are walking around looking like they’re okay when really they’re hiding behind being highly functional to mask their pain. I want to change that narrative and be the encouraging voice that acknowledges their pain and coach them through. Letting them know we can feel deal and heal together all while helping them amplify their voices too.

Nancy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Nancy Verdule and I am a podcaster the name of my podcast is: Feel Deal Heal with Nancy Verdule. The reason I got into the podcasting world is because I saw issues that weren’t being discussed the way I discuss them. So when you don’t see what you need you create it. I provide my listeners with motivation, encouragement, inspiration and wisdom. That I myself , have been through hell and back and everything that could have broke me was unsuccessful. I wanted to be the voice to let the people who are experiencing their own personal hell, know that not only do I understand, but to lend a helping hand. Mental health is very important to me because if your mind is not at peace then neither is the rest of you. I provide to anybody who listens to my podcast laughter, wisdom, my personal stories of my high and lows and a dash of God. What sets me apart is there is only one Nancy Verdule in the world there is no one that sounds like me nor delivers my messaging like myself. Speaking life into others in my God given purpose. The thing that I am most proud of is that I making a difference in other people lives. When someone reaches out to me and tells me that I encouraged them to go after their dreams. That I created thought-provoking conversations with themselves and others. That they are seeking therapy to help them further, because they didn’t realize they needed it. Let’s me further know that I am doing what I was destined to do and it makes me truly happy .
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Back in January I went through a bout of depression I was starting to feel like a failure and that I truly was not enough. I found myself crying to work and back. I was crying at home and had power off myself from the world. It went on for about a month before it dawned on me that I wasn’t just sad. I was depressed and had to admit to myself that I needed help and needed to go back to therapy. Now I am in a better place and have found my purpose . But there is no many people who are experiencing depression and don’t even realize it nor do they have access to get help to overcome it. That doesn’t sit well with me , because with the pandemic alone statistics have showed that depression and suicide has jump to an all time high. Although I was able to overcome it but many are not so lucky. I want others to reach their happy place like I did which is why I am so passionate about what I do.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to grace stages across the world sharing my life testimony to free others. To use my gift of speaking to encourage, uplift, motivate, impact lives and save souls. As well as to grow a community where people will free to speak their minds freely and express their feelings. To able to free themselves to live their true authentic lives and find their joy again.
