Hi, I’m Nancy, the proud owner of Lovelyloons, a one-stop shop for all your event needs. Our journey began when our daughter turned 5 and we organized a party for her. We were fortunate enough to have a talented local decorator create a stunning display for us, and the joy it brought us inspired us to spread that happiness to others. Determined to make a difference, we started taking classes and watching YouTube videos to enhance our skills. In just under two years, we have experienced remarkable growth, and we are eager to continue expanding our business even further. As part of our growth, we have recently introduced draped tents, chair and table rentals, as well as thrones and linens. Additionally, we have formed valuable collaborations with numerous local vendors to ensure that every event we create is nothing short of perfection.

I am a Latina who grew up in Chicago. I am a wife and a mother of four children, and I have recently ventured into entrepreneurship. Taking risks has always been a part of my nature, but starting a business from scratch has been the most daring move I have ever made. Despite having no prior experience in this field, I am thrilled to see where this journey takes me.
Throughout my life, I have worked in various roles such as a server, secretary, and cashier, among others, just to make ends meet and help out my husband with our expenses. Being teenage parents, it was challenging for us to juggle work and school, but we persevered. Now, at the age of 29, I realize that I cannot continue to switch jobs and struggle to find stability. I am determined to establish something secure and truly my own.
Starting this business has been a significant step towards achieving that stability. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the chance to build something meaningful for myself and my family. Despite the uncertainties and challenges that come with being an entrepreneur, I am grateful for the opportunity to create something that I can proudly call my own.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
1 One of the most effective marketing strategies that I have found to be incredibly beneficial is utilizing social media platforms. I have invested in advertisements on popular platforms such as Facebook and TikTok, which have helped me reach a wider audience and increase brand visibility. Additionally, attending wedding shows has provided me with the opportunity to showcase my products/services to potential customers and network with other industry professionals.
In addition to traditional marketing methods, I have also tapped into the power of local Facebook groups to promote my business. By joining and actively participating in these groups, I have been able to engage with local community members and target a specific demographic that is likely to be interested in my offerings. This targeted approach has proven to be quite successful in driving traffic to my business and generating leads.

I was filled with fear when I first embarked on my entrepreneurial journey. The idea of starting a business seemed daunting, especially because I believed it required a substantial amount of money. However, to my pleasant surprise, I discovered that this was not the case. Even today, I continue to rely on my trusty amazon balloon pumps, which have been a reliable tool for my business. Although I eventually upgraded to a higher quality stand and backdrop, I initially began with a humble $30 frame. Unfortunately, this frame would sometimes bend under the weight of too many balloons. Nevertheless, with determination and perseverance, I managed to accumulate enough funds from a few jobs to invest in a more durable stand worth over $400. My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to stay committed and persistent, even if you start from the bottom. With time and effort, we can all achieve our goals.
