Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Naman Mukerji and Tanmay Neema. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Naman and Tanmay, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Our mission primarily focuses on one thing: sparking creativity in our viewers. As very analytical and technical people, photography has allowed us the opportunity to discover our world from a new perspective which has allowed the stimulation of our creativity. We have discovered the natural, urban, and cultural beauty in our surroundings and used photography to capture it in a unique way. By controlling lighting, angles, subjects, and various other factors, we have been able to tell our own story utilizing one main tool: our cameras. We hope by sharing our work, we can inspire people to express themselves through photography, and we can help to kindle creativity in those around us.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Passionshot Photography is an organization founded by Tanmay Neema and Naman Mukerji which specializes in freelance & commercial photography. Ever since a young age, both Naman and Tanmay have shared a passion for photography, whether that was urban, natural, or landscape photography, so they decided to share their passion by posting their content on Instagram. Since then, they have continued to post content on their Instagram page as well as their website which contains their content portfolios. They have also since expanded to the world of photography by opening up to commercial inquiries and beginning to enter competitions. Any advice for managing a team?

As freelance photographers, it has been very difficult to promote our work in a competitive field with so many talented individuals. It can be very difficult to succeed early on. However, it is very important to continue to communicate with others in your organization to collaboratively develop new ideas that may work. And even if these ideas do not work at first, it is crucial to continue to put your best foot forward and persevere through difficulties because eventually, the hard work, passion, and determination that you put in is reflected in the quality of your work which in turn allows you to grow.

How’d you meet your business partner?

I have known my business partner since birth. We have both grown in our interest. and hobbies together as we have grown up. Both of us started to immerse ourselves in photography around the age of 11 and began to display our interests in editing and capturing the world around us. Photography allowed to us to look at our surroundings in a new way. As we both came to this realization and shared this common belief, we decided to share our work to inspire those around us.
