We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Najah Moeser . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Najah below.
Alright, Najah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I’ve always felt connected & drawn to music since I was a child.. I loved listening to it, singing along with or dancing to it. Unlike most kids, I preferred staying home and learning songs as opposed to going out. I would always pretend as if I was in front of an audience. As I got older, I started performing in talent shows, plays, pageants etc. and was quite the ham on stage! I booked my first professional gig during my junior year. I was hired by the athletic director at St Francis college to perform for several professional female athletes. Many of whom were WNBA basketball players. I realized I can truly make a living at this.
Najah , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve performed at countless professional events from luxury hotels and weddings to private and high-end corporate gatherings and I’m currently heavily booked throughout New York City. Over time, I found myself frequently recommending other talented friends for gigs, which naturally led to the creation of Najah Moeser Events. Through this platform, I’m able to not only book myself but also connect other musicians with performance opportunities.
In addition to music bookings, I also curate unique experiences like Flower Concerts- a signature event concept that combines the elegance of floral design with live entertainment, creating an immersive, nature-inspired atmosphere.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend artistry with atmosphere. I don’t just show up and sing, I intentionally craft moments. Whether I’m performing solo or curating a Flower Concert, I design experiences that feel elevated, intimate, and deeply memorable.
I also bring a refined understanding of luxury hospitality and guest psychology to every event. Having performed in so many high-end environments, I’ve developed a sixth sense for reading a room, knowing when to shift energy, and how to engage guests of all kinds.
Additionally, I’m a strong believer in collaboration and community. With Najah Moeser Events, I’m not only creating space for myself, I’m building a platform for other musicians in NYC.
Above all, I offer my clients professionalism, intention, and an unforgettable experience. I truly believe I’m one of the best at what I do and I take pride in bringing that level of excellence to every performance and event.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
My dream has always been to be a professional musician who makes a great living doing what I love, and I’m proud to say I’ve been able to do exactly that. In New York City, earning $10,000 a month as a performer isn’t uncommon. While income can fluctuate, I’ve reached a point in my career where I never have to chase gigs. They consistently come to me.
What many people don’t realize is that New York City is a unique place. You can truly be the star of your own world, build your own lane, and create a sustainable career without needing mainstream validation. Sometimes people suggest I try things like reality TV or singing competitions, but that’s not my vibe. I’m already doing what I love on my own terms, and I’m incredibly proud of that.
A lot of people don’t see the full extent of my success, and that’s okay. I’m proof that you can make a great living doing what you love if you believe in yourself, commit to your craft, and become the kind of artist people genuinely want to hire. When you align with your purpose, the opportunities flow to you.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
What I love most about being an artist is the ability to evoke emotion and connect with people from all over the world. There’s nothing like touching someone’s heart through my voice, and I’m truly confident in the sound I’ve developed. I believe our gifts are blessings from God, and I’m deeply grateful to have found mine. Not everyone discovers their passion, so I don’t take that for granted.
Music gives me a place to escape & it’s always felt like a kind of superpower. More than anything, I feel a strong sense of purpose in what I do, and for me, that’s the greatest reward.
