We were lucky to catch up with Naija Rufus recently and have shared our conversation below.
Naija, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
God bestowed upon me the name Prophetic Press for my ministry dedicated to women. As it birthed forth, a stunning brand emerged, a powerful symbol of God’s limitless might. His dominion knows no bounds, and His greatness defies all limitation. With this unwavering faith, I move forward, confident that God will orchestrate the impossible and defy convention on our behalf.
After a year of flourishing under this name alone, God expanded His vision for me. Prophetic Printing was born, a platform for our faith-based apparel line. This line embodies the concept of “wearing the Word of God until it becomes ingrained within you.”

Naija, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a God-led CEO who believes in diversification. Don’t be surprised to see my name associated with various successful ventures. While I hold multiple titles, my favorite roles are wife and mother. I’m a generational shifter, building a strong foundation for future generations. Aiming to leave a lasting legacy of success because of the seeds I’m sowing now.
Let’s talk business. People buy confidence, and I operate with the mindset of Joshua 1:9. I know God is with me in all I do. Through Prophetic Press, I serve as a Spiritual Advisor and Reset Coach. What began as a thought became a reality through God speaking life into it. My team and I empower women to press forward with faith, knowing God’s power is limitless.
Prophetic Printing is my faith-based clothing line and printing business. We promote the concept of “wearing the word of God on you until you get it in you.” Our apparel offers encouragement and inspiration. Beyond clothing, we provide printing services for flyers, invitations, pictures, and custom shirts. Our goal is to exceed expectations in speed and quality, surpassing competitors like Staples and Amazon.
As a soon-to-be BSBA graduate in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Accounting, I’m the COO of Business Done Right (BDR). I’m also a licensed life insurance agent and graphic designer, helping clients bring their dreams to life through confidence-building strategies and impactful visuals.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Yes, I’ve had a few setbacks, but one stands out as particularly challenging during my early entrepreneurial days. I invested time building a strong rapport with a client, immersing myself in their dreams and aspirations. I brought their vision to life through my designs, creating stunning packages with impressive mockups. Imagine my disappointment when they decided to continue looking around after seeing the final product.
As a new business owner with low self-esteem and a tendency to please others, this rejection hit hard. Nothing hurt more than prioritizing someone else’s needs at my own expense, only to be met with disappointment. I had shared the potential success with my husband, family, and others, building excitement around the anticipated income. When the deal fell through, I was devastated and faced the daunting task of finding alternative ways to pay bills.
That moment forced me to reassess my priorities and focus on my true purpose. I realized that chasing money solely would quickly extinguish my entrepreneurial passion. Allowing money to dictate my business blinded me to my mission and vision. I was slipping back into the same mindset I had while working a nine-to-five job, and that was my wake-up call.
I’m no longer driven by money but by faith. I believe that those meant to be part of my journey will genuinely support me, and those who aren’t won’t deter me. It’s essential to recognize that everyone isn’t your target audience. Find your ideal clients and thrive tenfold.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Yes, it did. I did it for fun for years until I met Alexis Danielle, CEO of Business Done Right (BDR). She said to me, “You know you can get paid for this, right?” I hadn’t seen my worth or thought it was possible. It was just something I did for anyone who asked. But she ignited a spark in me that might flicker but never dies.
Shortly after, she became my mentor, and I now serve as COO of her incredible, growing business. That beautiful bond has brought me knowledge, clients, angel investors, immense support, encouragement, and the opportunity to channel my resilient attitude. A key milestone has been watching dreams become reality, all because someone outside my family believed in me. Seeing people use my logos, post my flyers, and wear my merch is the fuel that drives me forward every day.
