Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Naii. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Naii, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Taking risks in life is one of the most uncomfortable things to do, but the outcome is amazing. I believe that if you want growth it’s important to get uncomfortable. In fact, it’s necessary for growth because it’s like you have to adapt to being this whole new person, this higher version of yourself. At one point of my life i realized i was stuck in the same cycle, toxic relationships, no job, no diploma, just nothing to look up to or even look forward to. I hated every single second of it and felt so low almost all the time. I later started to realize it was because i got comfortable, I didn’t even think about stepping out of my comfort zone because i was too scared to. That all changed right before my 18th birthday. I finally made huge decisions i was holding off for YEARS. I set boundaries, built a schedule, set goals, cut people off, any and everything i could think of that was holding me back i released. The amount of discomfort i felt was immense. I wasn’t used to working so hard, being to myself, being vulnerable, and letting go. I remember being so scared of doing things like post videos of my skits, singing, and acting. There was even a time in my life where I didn’t take pictures because of how low i thought of myself. As soon as everything clicked i took the risk of getting very uncomfortable and posting those videos. Now i work full time as a creator /influencer. What i was scared of that made me so uncomfortable now pays me full time. Ever since, i promised myself that no matter what i will always take a risk because you never know the outcome until you try. You’re much greater than you think you are. I take pride in being a risk taker and so should you.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am known on social media as Naii.Elyy a.k.a Greenskii. My real name is Nayely, I’m 20 years old and work as a influencer/creator. My journey as an influencer all started at the age of 18, so I’ve been doing this for 2 years now. I post content such as Skits, POV’s, singing covers, etc… In order to get to where i am today i had to set my priorities straight and discipline myself. That meant letting go and releasing everything that did not serve me or my higher purpose, and finally tapping into my journey of fulfilling my higher purpose ( which i am currently still on ). That means i had to sit with myself a lot. I took time to analyze myself, get to know myself, and ask myself what i wanted in life and what felt right for me to do. In doing all of this i formed the greatest love of all, self love. Which is why i preach about self love and being your true authentic self no matter what. I love the term “ Be- YOU- tiful ” . To me it means really digging deep within yourself and accepting yourself for all that you are. That is my brand as an influencer. I try my best to promote self love and empower others to step into their purpose because doing so is what brought me to my true peace and happiness, and that’s all i want for others. I use my socials as an outlet by making funny skits, pov’s, and song covers that i relate to, or think others may relate to, unapologetically and i do it my way. My main goal is this is to empower others with relatability. So my mission is to try my best to bring clarity and peace into peoples lives because that is what brings me peace and clarity, and I accomplish all of this by simply being myself.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Exploring is very important, be optimistic. There is so many ways you can gain an audience you’d be surprised. I remember making aesthetic tik toks thinking that’s how i would gain my following, but then my skits started blowing up. Consistency is also very important especially in the beginning. Collaborations are very important. Meeting new people and getting connects can create the butterfly effect. Being authentic is a big one. If you gain a following off of following a trend or trying to be someone else, you’ll most likely loose that following overtime. Be different and stand out. Plus, imagine being followed for just being yourself, that’s a much more fulfilling feeling. Confidence is key, it’s attracting and it draws attention. Last but definitely not least, believe in yourself. Without that mental strength your drive for your goals wont last long. Which reminds me, patience.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
As i was becoming an influencer i was also working as a CNA at an assisted living facility. This was very stressful for me because my work hours would get in the way of my work on social media. I had to choose between the both and of course i chose my social media which was an amazing choice and ended up working in my favor. This was another big risk i took that made me who i am today.
