Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nahvi Phouthakhanty. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Nahvi, thanks for joining us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?

I wish I would have started my business way sooner, although I’m still pretty young to start this business at the age of 18. I was a young girl who grew up in the suburbs and just graduating high school. Throughout high school, I was also helping with my family business that a few of my aunts owned. I didn’t have plans to attend college like the average person, because I wanted to go my own route. I wanted to be different. I did work remotely for a social media marketing company that was based in Miami, FL for a bit and started growing my network throughout Miami and across the country while traveling. If I started sooner, I would be for sure more ahead than I am today at such a young age than most average business owners. I would have probably dropped out of high school early to continue growing my branding agency and be closer to having more freedom and closer to retiring from my family. Looking back, I didn’t have prior experience running a branding agency or sales but it does take time to learn a whole new skill set and I think one thing I didn’t do is give up. You give up, you’re going back to square one. I didn’t stop getting this service in front of millions of business owners because I knew I had a service that many doctors and business owners need. If I was going to start this business, I knew I had to be different than most agencies out there. Play the game differently.

Nahvi, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I have always had a passion for traveling and building new connections through Miami and across the world. Through those connections I’ve made, I had the honor of getting connected with a mutual friend in Miami who does marketing and sales. I’ve met a lot of people in the business industry over the years, but he is the only person I truly trust when it comes to building a business and sales. He shared with me secrets and very unique systems that are not common nowadays. He mentioned to me how there isn’t anyone who is creating professional branded content for doctors on a daily basis and no doctor has time to do it themselves. I helped tons of Chiropractors during COVID-19 when everyone thought all chiropractic offices would be shut down but they were still open. I made sure that people knew their doors were still open for business. I was the lifeline for business owners.

I always start with branding first and building that credibility with my customers before going into paid advertising. Otherwise, if you’re not building your brand the proper way or growing organically, you may be losing out on some great prospects and wasting tons of money on paid advertising. If you have multiple revenue streams in your business, would you mind opening up about what those streams are and how they fit together?

Other than running a full-time branding agency, I also model for clothing brands, music videos, music artists, etc. I travel often between Miami, FL and Dallas, TX for modeling shoots. I am proud to be signed with Foreign Elites Models. I’ve always loved fashion but I never knew I would actually go down the modeling route. One day, I met a mutual friend who knew someone who owned a record label company in Miami, FL then we connected and he wanted to sign me as a model for his agency. I am so grateful for all the connections I’ve made over the years because I wouldn’t have these amazing opportunities.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

For starting my branding agency, I actually didn’t need much capital for all the work it takes to make a dream happen from designing and executing. The systems I have in place in my agency are very minimal cost from designing, social media growth, and hiring a team. With the connections I have within the industry which I am very grateful to have, I was able to run this business very effectively.
