We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nahomy Galan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nahomy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
In 2020, I took one of the biggest risks of my life during a time when everything already felt uncertain. I made the decision to leave a relationship that was mentally draining me, and at the same time, I chose to invest in myself in a way that others didn’t fully understand.
I decided to become certified in Holistic Nutrition. It felt like a risk because I was stepping into something unfamiliar, without knowing where it would lead! But I had a strong feeling that our lifestyle, what we consume, and how we care for our bodies play a major role in our overall well-being—and I wanted to understand that on a deeper level. So that’s what happened.
As I began learning, I started creating small wellness rituals at home. I made herbal teas, trying sea moss, and being more intentional with what I was putting into my body. I naturally began sharing that journey with my friends and family, not thinking it would turn into anything more.
Over time, people became curious. They wanted to try what I was making, especially sea moss gel. What started as something personal slowly began to grow into something bigger.
Creating wellness rituals at home is how I built my brand. It grew organically through word-of-mouth, from people genuinely experiencing the benefits and sharing it with others. Today, I’m able to ship across the U.S. and support a community of people who are also choosing a more natural, intentional way of living.
Looking back, that risk changed everything. It taught me to trust myself, even when things feel uncertain, and to follow what feels aligned—even if it doesn’t make sense to everyone else at the time.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m the founder of Nahomy’s Naturals. It is a wellness brand rooted in intention, simplicity, and creating balance through every day rituals. My journey into this space started from a very personal place. I was searching for natural ways for my son and I to feel better, both physically and mentally, and I became deeply interested in how what we consume and how we live impacts our overall well-being.
That curiosity led me to become certified in Holistic Nutrition. I wanted to learn more about health and wellness, and the holistic nutrition program called to me. This journey led me back to the basics. I was reminded of simple, consistent practices I could do at home. And I used social media to remind others of this. I needed and craved a deep reset, and changing my lifestyle habits and diet was what did it for me. And I just wanted to share this with others.
Today I create products that are all organic ingredients, they are clean and intentional. I make organic sea moss gels, elderberry elixirs, and herbal tea blends. I also create custom meal plans for someone depending on what they want it for. My goal is to help people, especially families and women like myself, create simple but effective wellness routines and reconnect with their bodies in a more natural way.
What I’d say sets my brand apart is that it’s not just about the products — it’s about the experience and the lifestyle behind them. I focus on creating a feeling; which is is calm, grounded, connection back to mother Earth, and intention. I used to feel really overwhelmed when it came to my health and daily routines. I had to create that sense of peace and simplicity in my own home first—and once I did, I knew I wanted to share that with others. I want people to feel like they can care for themselves and their children in a way that feels simple, natural, and not overwhelming
I’m most proud of how organically my business has grown. It started with just sharing my personal journey, and through word-of-mouth and genuine online connection, it has expanded into a community of people who trust what I create and they come back because they feel a difference. I’m also proud of my products. Each one is hand-made with ethically sourced ingredients, made with love.
More than anything else, I want people to know that wellness doesn’t have to be perfect or expensive. Creating wellness rituals at home is how I built my brand, and it’s the same approach I hope to inspire others.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe what helped me build my reputation was simply being genuine and consistent. I started by sharing my own wellness journey and the things I was learning and using in my everyday life. I wasn’t trying to be perfect or have everything figured out. I was just being real about what was helping me.
Over time, people began to trust that. They could see that the products I offer are the same ones I use myself, and that everything comes from a place of intention.
Word-of-mouth has also played a huge role in my growth. My customers share their experiences, recommend my products to others, and continue to come back because they feel the difference.
I also take the time to connect with my community, answer questions, and educate in a way that feels simple and approachable. I think that combination of authenticity, consistency, and real results is what helped me build trust within my market.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Books like You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz have had a meaningful impact on how I view both wellness and the way I approach my business.
Atomic Habits By James Clear and The Alchemist are two other books that have really influenced the way I think about both life and business. Atomic Habits helped me understand the power of small, consistent actions, which aligns very well with how I approach wellness and building my business. The Alchemist reminds me to trust my path and follow what feels aligned.
At the beginning of my studies, I read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell and Thomas M. Campbell. This book was the start of my diving deeper into just how much our diets affect us. There are some really interesting essays in there.
