We were lucky to catch up with Nadine Singh recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Nadine thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Many years ago, I arrived in America as a teenage mother and high school dropout, uncertain of my future. But I knew that being in America would provide me with better opportunities. I was determined to make the most of my new life and earned my GED shortly after arriving.
I found my passion for the medical field when I became a patient care technician and eventually worked my way up to becoming a registered nurse in the ICU. I continued to advance my career and eventually earned a doctorate as a nurse practitioner.
In 2018, my life took a new turn when I met a young African American man who was only 24 years old. He was suffering from hypertensive urgency, and his kidneys had failed due to untreated and undiagnosed high blood pressure. At that moment, I realized I needed to make a difference and reach people before they ended up in the hospital, where sometimes it’s too late.
Determined to make a change, I purchased the first mobile clinic from my savings and turned it into a thriving non-profit organization. This allowed me to bring hope, healing, and inspiration to many in need. My journey from being an immigrant without resources to a place where I can give back to others is truly remarkable.
My story is a testament to the power of determination and hard work. I hope to continue making a positive impact in the lives of others and inspire them to never give up on their dreams.

Nadine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m honored to share my journey with you. As a nurse practitioner, my path in the healthcare industry began as a teenage mother and high school dropout who arrived in America. Determined to create a better future, I earned my GED and discovered my passion for healthcare while working as a patient care technician.
After becoming a registered nurse and later earning a doctorate as a nurse practitioner, I encountered a pivotal moment in 2018 when I met a young man suffering from untreated high blood pressure. This experience ignited a deep commitment to preventive care and inspired me to establish a non-profit organization that provides vital medical services, hope, and inspiration through a mobile clinic.
My proudest achievement is the impact we’ve made in the lives of individuals and communities and our unwavering dedication to making a difference in the healthcare landscape. What sets me apart is my journey—from an immigrant without resources to a healthcare professional dedicated to giving back.
I want potential clients and supporters to know that my work is driven by a genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact. I am committed to reaching people where they are and providing essential healthcare services to those most in need.
Thank you for allowing me to share my story, and I’m excited to continue making a difference in the lives of others through my work.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My success and reputation in my field have been built on several key factors. My consistency and unwavering dedication to providing the highest quality care and service have created a strong reputation. I have always been willing to go above and beyond for my patients and clients, and I believe this commitment has been recognized and appreciated by those I have served.
Additionally, I have actively engaged in marketing and networking efforts, which have allowed me to connect with the right people and opportunities. Being in the fitting room at the right time has undoubtedly played a role in shaping my success, as it has provided me with invaluable chances to showcase my skills and expertise.
Ultimately, I attribute my success to hard work, consistency, and seizing the right opportunities through networking and marketing efforts. These factors have been pivotal in building my reputation and success in my field.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lessons I have learned throughout my journey have been invaluable. One of the most significant lessons is the importance of perseverance and resilience. As a teenage mother and high school dropout, I faced numerous challenges and obstacles. However, I learned never to give up and to keep pushing forward, no matter the circumstances.
Another crucial lesson has been the power of empathy and understanding. Working in the medical field, I have encountered individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their unique struggles and needs. Understanding and empathizing with their experiences has been essential in providing adequate care and support.
The back story behind these lessons is rooted in my personal experiences and the challenges I have overcome. As an immigrant with limited resources, I had to navigate a new country and build a life for myself and my family. These experiences have taught me the value of perseverance, empathy, and the importance of reaching out to those in need.
Additionally, the encounter with the young man suffering from untreated high blood pressure was a pivotal moment that taught me the critical importance of preventive care and early intervention. This experience inspired me to take action and establish a non-profit organization to provide accessible healthcare services to underserved communities.
Overall, the lessons I have learned and the back story behind them have shaped me into the individual I am today and have been instrumental in guiding my work and mission in the healthcare field.
