Nadine, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I’ve always been passionate about photography and the mesmerizing world of the sea. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Biology in 2021, I embarked on a journey to Mexico with a one-way ticket, combining my love for landscape and underwater photography with a career as a diving instructor. A five-week road trip across the United States expanded my horizons, exploring coastal beauty, deserts, and diverse landscapes. Now residing in Madeira, my dedication to diving has deepened, as I delve into the realm of technical diving. Having also explored the underwater wonders of Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Portugal and Germany, I draw upon these global experiences to inspire others to appreciate and protect the precious wonders of our oceans.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The best part of working as an underwater photographer is capturing the breathtaking beauty and delicate ecosystems beneath the water’s surface. In zero gravity, I experience vibrant colors, celestial light and captivating marine life. Each shot is a challenge and challenges my creativity. With my work, I want to raise awareness for marine conservation and inspire others to protect our oceans. Sharing the breathtaking underwater world with others while advocating for its preservation is very fulfilling for me.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I proved my resilience when I moved to Mexico alone on a one-way ticket to pursue a career as a diver and photographer. I overcame challenges such as language barriers and unfamiliarity, immersed myself in the local culture, and honed my skills. Despite setbacks, I persevered, refined my diving techniques and mastered underwater photography. Thanks to my unwavering determination, I was able to establish myself as a respected underwater photographer and gain recognition for my work. This journey has taught me the importance of embracing challenges as opportunities to grow and has made me the artist I am today.
