Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nadia Jarfi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Nadia, thanks for joining us today. Was there an experience or lesson you learned at a previous job that’s benefited your career afterwards?
Before starting my own business, I spent four years as a Community Manager for a locally-owned coworking space. Like many small businesses in their early days, “Community Manager” was really an umbrella for about ten other job titles. Lucky for me, I thrive on variety, so I embraced my role as the company’s “Swiss army knife.”
From managing the community, programs, marketing, and operations (and everything in between), there was always something new to learn or create. Early on, my boss, the CEO, gently guided me, helping me get acclimated and offering suggestions when needed. But as I grew more comfortable, she encouraged me to be self-sufficient—a concept I wasn’t entirely used to. Let’s face it, many of us are accustomed to micromanagement, unclear directives, or a general lack of trust in the workplace.
Gradually, I realized my role came with flexibility and the freedom to experiment with how I operated and built community. Of course, imposter syndrome reared its ugly head. I often sought validation from my boss, hoping she’d assure me I was on the right track. Until one day, she sat me down and said something that changed everything: “You were hired because you’re smart and capable. Before bringing me a question, exhaust all your resources first. Trust yourself to figure it out.”
That moment was a game-changer. It was the first time I’d experienced that level of trust and interdependence in a professional setting. She wasn’t micromanaging me; she was empowering me. By giving me room to explore and even make mistakes, I grew more confident—and the business thrived because of it.
That lesson taught me the value of allowing myself (and others) the freedom to experiment, fail, learn, and still be an asset. In the months leading up to my departure, I leaned into that trust and independence, and it transformed how I work and lead.
It showed me what interdependence in business can look like. It reinforced my belief in my ability to create and inspired me to lead in a way that lets others explore their potential without fear of judgment. Along the way, I learned to mess up, get it right, and, most importantly, have fun in the process.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am an explorer of consciousness, a world adventurer, an Anthropologist, and in business I am a Quantum Human Design Specialist. Much of my journey to where I am now began during my college experience at San Diego State University where I studied Applied Bio-Cultural Anthropology. This was when Epigenetics was really starting to hit the scientific world and I became wildly fascinated with this science of change. Epigenetics has proven the impacts of culture, mentality, and our environment on our DNA. The nature vs. nurture argument was finally ending and the answer was, it is both.
Living on the West Coast for almost a decade provided a landscape for spiritual exploration, personal development, and a connection with nature that supported my abilities to think holistically about what systems would benefit humanity. In December 2021, amid the COVID-19 shutdowns I was introduced to Human Design by a childhood friend who gifted me a session for Christmas.
After my session I began self-studying the system for about two years until I started to get asked by my friends and community how they could get a session. As a ⅗ Generator, I am created to be in response to life, follow what excites me, and be the experimenter of what is possible in the world. The people around me saw how much I lit up when I would talk about it, and saw something in me that I was able to respond to and thus create my business.
Quantum Human Design is a revolutionary self-knowledge system fueled by ancient and modern sciences. The system generates charts that create your unique energetic blueprint, known as the Bodygraph. The Bodygraph allows a Specialist to peer into your soul’s archetypes and electromagnetic field to help you understand the energies that represent your gifts as well as your conditioning. By aligning with your human design, you can re-establish your individuality and detach from programs that don’t align with your core self.
What drew me to Quantum Human Design in addition to studying Traditional Human Design was the integration of epigenetics into the system. If we are able to rewire our gene expressions based on creating new patterns and stories about who we are, then evolving the language of the system only seems natural. I feel knowledge of both systems is necessary for our evolution and I feel honored to steward both.
Human design helps solve problems around low self-worth, feeling stuck, lack of direction, burnout, misaligned living, difficulty making decisions, relationships struggles, feeling unfulfilled, and so much more. It helps you get to the core of who you really want to be and what is possible.
My mission is to guide humanity in stepping into our fullness by choosing radical self-love, facing our shadows, and recreating our reality with a more empowering narrative of who we truly are. It’s time for all of us to wake up, discover our authentic self, and take the first step in creating a better world, which can only begin through our own transformation.
I believe we all carry the codes for our own healing, waiting to be activated through our thoughts, experiences, and environments. There is a cosmic plan unfolding, and we each have a crucial part to play in the evolution of humanity. By embracing our roles as sovereign creators, we can bend the limits of time and space, reprogram our subconscious minds, and access higher consciousness. I merge science and spirituality, bridging the seen and unseen to guide you toward your highest potential.
I am currently offering 1:1 sessions, in-person events, and workshops. For example, I am hosting a Valentine’s inspired workshop next week exploring the G/Identity Center in the chart. In this Center we learn the varying aspects of Self-Love in the chart that play a major role in discovering and drawing in your direction in life versus chasing or “figuring it out”, which just causes us mental turmoil.
I am also launching a 6-week cohort this Spring for folks who want to go deeper into their human design with accountability and community. We will have weekly lessons, meditations, and opportunities to share on our personal journeys. Healing happens faster in the community so I am jazzed to be able to offer this cohort.
I am most proud of how far I have come in one year of business. I had zero investment outside of my own pockets and faith in myself. I am getting more clear everyday on my own purpose in the world and how to make a difference. The way I do business and market myself doesn’t have to look like the way the external world led me to believe. I am proud of how I am turning hustle culture and perfectionism on its ass and still creating a valuable business for the world. I am enthusiastic about helping others find their dream life and begin to create it.
I am witnessing lasting change in my clients who are trusting in trying this system on. There is hope in the energy of my clients and I can see them setting boundaries, becoming curious, and having a desire to show up in the world differently. I am so excited about the unique way in which I interpret the system and teach it based on the melding of Traditional and Quantum Human Design. It is an incredibly unique offering and way to perceive the system that I feel is needed at this time.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I would love to share some books and essays that were deeply impactful for my entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy!
Firstly, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. This book helps you anchor back into our planet and establish deep compassion for humanity, which I feel is super important as a leader and business owner.
Secondly, Dare to Lead by Brené Brown. She is such an inspiration when it comes to vulnerability, dissolving shame, and becoming a brave leader in any industry.
Thirdly, Radical Candor: How to be a Kickass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity. I think the title speaks for itself!
Fourthly, You are a Badass by Jen Sincero. I found this to be a super fun read and very inspirational when I am lacking confident in what I am creating.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I think we are entering a time when people want to be back in person and meet people organically. I truly believe you cannot only be online to grow quality clientele who need your services. We need to get out into the world and connect with people so that they can get a taste of who we are and what we do. I also think a solid strategy is termed “embracing the cringe”, where you put yourself out there authentically, even if it’s uncomfortable, imperfect, and can feel somewhat embarrassing. We are living in a world desperate for connection and feeling something real. Be less polished, be honest, be you.
