Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nachaye (Pep) Blanks . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nachaye (Pep), looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
One of the biggest risks you can take is chasing your dreams….. Sometimes we hold ourselves back because we are not sure what the outcome will be, or we are scared of trying something new. Me on the other hand, I craved to try something new. I am coming from Detroit, MI to Dallas, TX….that was a extreme decision especially with a 3 year old baby girl!
Before coming here to Dallas, TX, I was in my 3 bedroom home of 5 years creating products for Pink Pepper Cosmetics™️ And attending Cosmetology School at P & A Beauty School, all while raising my baby girl! During the pandemic, I was laid off from my job……I used my last to start Pink Pepper Cosmetics™️ In August of 2020 which in return blessed me to start a new journey to building generational wealth. There were many days where I was confused and at the same time empowered to do something different but I didn’t quite know where or how to start.
I took what started as a small idea and made it a reality. It was something to truly be proud of! I then decided after a year of running my business that I wanted to extend my education about skin and how it works! I also wanted to connect mental awareness to beauty. I wanted something bigger for myself, so what other place than TEXAS! I planned my move within a few months of making the decision, March 29, 2022 I arrived in Dallas, TX.
July 18th, 2022 I started school for esthetics at Aveda Institute of Arts & Sciences in Dallas, TX! I am currently chasing one of my biggest dreams of being a Esthetician and Entrepreneur of a Beauty & Wellness Brand! Of course these things take time, but with diligence and determination I am able to overcome a number of obstacles and tackle my goals one by one. During this journey, I took a risk on one of the most important parts of who I am and that’s my comfortability. Coming out of my comfort zone and leaving everything I worked for behind to chase my dreams is a RISK in my eyes. It will go good or bad and sometimes it will go completely good with some bad parts involved, but overall I was willing to take that leap because I see my dreams……they are vivid and they may start off small but they will end big.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am Pep B. I literally adore everything skin and If I can tell you one thing for sure, its my adoration for EVERYTHING BEAUTY. I’ve always been into skincare products and products in general because of the packaging and the advertisements. I also grew up with my mom and she was really big on how her appearance was presented no matter where she was going.
She appreciated fragrances, lotions, hair supplies, and makeup! As a little girl I always had my hair done and always was dressed presentable! Beauty became something I had a interest in. When I was 15 I lost my mom to suicide and it changed me forever. I learned how to cope but it wasn’t healthy. It took for 10 years for me to find something to help me cope in a healthy way. Creating beauty products for people who are in need of feeling good and achieving healthy skin became a healing space for me. I then created Pink Pepper Cosmetics™️ In memory of my mother and all that she stood for when it came to beauty! I started my business in 2020 and I took my ideas for a spin!
Running a business takes a lot of discipline and consistency. Running a successful business takes a lot of patience and courage. Having those four characteristics can in return build wealth that builds more wealth. I’m learning that since I have started studying towards becoming a esthetician. What I like to explain is that it’s okay to take mental health breaks. I would like to say this break from making products is my self discovery break before making products again. I want to be aligned in all areas of my mental health before making products! Being in a healthy state of mind and comfortability is very important.
I am most proud of my ability to take control of what I want and need in this life. I am comfortable with change and I have no more fears of my capabilities when it comes to chasing what I want.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
There is no right or wrong way to build your audience on social media. I am a strong believer in things happen at the right time and when they need to. The biggest advice I can give you on building your audience is “BEING YOURSELF” use your own creativity to stand out! Sometimes your big break may not look like everyone else’s big break. You have to find what works for you and stick to it. People respect someone who’s not afraid to step outside of the box to grasp their attention and you can do that.
I’m not famous yet, but I believe that I one day will be. I post my journey, I share my weaknesses, I open up to my crowd because it’s okay to be transparent. People say you’re brave…..but really you’re just humble and there is nothing else a person can do to break you. BE YOURSELF. Post your story, post how you view things, post your goals, post who you are! It will work for you!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My resilience is shown through my ability to adapt in any situation I am placed in. I don’t give up. I keep moving towards the light because I crave it. One of the biggest stories I have is me and my baby living in a hotel when we first moved her to Dallas. It was sooooo hard for me because I didn’t think I could afford nor do it with my baby.
I had never been in a situation with a child like I was and I battled really hard. Everyday I was attending my job and it was hard, I dealt with a lot of things I didn’t like and a lot of things I was uncomfortable with just to make ends meet. I eventually couldn’t afford to stress myself any longer and I left the hotel I was in as well as the job I was attending daily.
Me and my daughter was blessed with a place to stay and rest my head while attending school. I appreciated this so much that I prayed daily for God to be with me on my journey to success. I just wanted to give my baby something better. My godmother has supported me since starting school and I currently push myself through everything I go through. No matter the situation I am still pushing towards my goals. I am pushing towards my success.
Never give up even when you lose it all. You will gain it back.
