Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nachara Nyree. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nachara , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I remember being around 8 or 9 in Michigan and watching my favorite artist perform on b.e.t like Beyoncé and Chris Brown and Ciara and being like oh my gosh that’s what i wanna do .The music was so good back then and people were so creative with how they dressed and expressed themselves .
I remember being glued to the thick computer screens as well loll looking up my favorite music videos on YouTube and learning the dances .I wasn’t that confident back then and sort of fell in love with watching other people’s stories unravel and used to be like mom look at them they’re famous now ! I wanted a push i guess but didn’t know how to say it ..I then joined chorus from elementary up until high school and used that as my training to learn how to build my confidence and did talent shows .
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi everyone my name is NaChara Nyree and I’m an upcoming singer and actress .I write my own music and just released my first song called Leave you actually last week ,it’s a long time coming but i finally dropped after some years .
I wrote Leave you In 2020 after i graduated College. I was in a few very long situation ships and being caught up in love and a constant cycle of being attracted to unemotionally available men , family issues and honestly started hating myself . Around that time i taught myself how to write songs and slowly started pushing myself to showcase my talents on instagram more but not consistent at all . It was really hard for me and i sometimes still struggle honestly .
I’m most proud of me for rebuilding myself after being at my lowest , i had to find myself again and fall in love with me really for the first time ever .
I want my music to inspire people and let them know that it’s okay to be sad and express yourself ,but it’s also okay to move on and become a better version and to leave people where they had you messed up at lol . I feel like we’re in a era where people are becoming very cold and you can tell in the music but my music won’t just be sad you’ll feel all the emotions for sure so hope yall enjoy
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Oh my goodness yes, i wish i knew how important it was to use social media when i was younger. Its like i knew but i couldn’t push myself to not care about people’s opinions of me and was worried about how id be perceived . That’s one of my biggest regrets to this day ,using the internet can get you seen by really important people that can change your life .All you have to do is post and know someone is watching you for sure
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Honestly i just want to be able to take care of myself and family , while making money doing something that i genuinely enjoy . I just want to make younger me proud and hopefully my family .I feel like i have no choice but to pursue music ,i think about it everyday .
I want the success but more importantly want to enjoy life without struggling. To be on the beach as much as i want ,studios booked , and spending time with family i grew up with and just experience true luxury with them . Life is so short , so why not try my hardest to make my dreams my actual reality
