We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Naadier Riles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Naadier below.
Alright, Naadier thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Global heartbreak is a clothing brand that uses its platform to express what everyone is feeling around the world globally, whether it’s about a relationship, friendship, tragedy or even the relationship between parents and children
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Naadier I was introduced to fashion at a young age maybe 9 my father owned a clothing store in Massachusetts and he would always count and go through inventory in front of me. When I graduated from high school I started the brand Global Heartbreak and I started off by using my own childhood trauma to get my story out. Once the brand grew others became comfortable with sharing their stories. My brand is considered an urban streetwear brand we have made clothing accessories and even sneakers. The thing that separates me from other brands is how we’re so limited with our releases to keep everyone from looking the same. Our brand distinguishes itself by embracing the rich tapestry of people’s stories. We go beyond products to highlight the human experiences that inspire, empower, and connect us all. Through storytelling, we celebrate diversity, resilience, and authenticity, fostering a community where every voice is heard and every story matters. I’m immensely proud of how far my clothing brand has come since its humble beginnings with just $50. From that small seed of investment, we’ve cultivated a thriving brand that stands for quality, creativity, and inclusivity. Along the way, we’ve achieved numerous milestones, from securing our first sale to expanding into new markets. But what truly fills me with pride are the bonds we’ve built – with customers who believe in our vision, with partners who share our values, and with a team whose dedication knows no bounds. Every achievement and every connection forged reaffirms the power of passion, perseverance, and the belief that anything is possible when you dare to dream. I want future clients to know that despite facing a lawsuit from a billion-dollar company, we remain steadfast in telling our story. Our resilience in the face of adversity speaks volumes about our commitment to authenticity and integrity. While challenges may arise, we stand firm in our values and will continue to share our journey, undeterred by obstacles. Our triumph over adversity is a testament to the strength of our convictions and our unwavering dedication to our mission.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Our clothing brand leveraged Instagram as a powerful platform to showcase our products and engage with our audience authentically. Through captivating visuals and compelling storytelling, we cultivated a vibrant community of followers who resonated with our brand ethos.
In tandem with our Instagram efforts, we strategically utilized Facebook ads to amplify our narrative and reach a broader audience. These ads served not only to promote our products but also to push our story further, sharing the passion and purpose behind our brand with precision-targeted audiences.
By synergizing Instagram’s visual appeal with Facebook’s expansive reach and targeted advertising capabilities, we were able to not only promote our clothing line but also deepen the connection with our audience by sharing the stories that define us. This integrated approach allowed us to establish a meaningful presence in the digital landscape and foster lasting relationships with our customers.

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
We have a website that we sell our products on there’s always pros and cons with everything. The cons are depending on who you’re website is through whether it’s Wix or Shopify there can sometimes be crashes depending on the demand of the product and I would say pros would be to monitor sales advertising. And even communicating through ecommerce.
