We caught up with the brilliant and insightful MzzBrownSugar SweetAsWine LadyB a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

MzzBrownSugar SweetAsWine, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?

The kindest thing someone has done for me is when I was getting married to my handsome love of my life, my husband Horace Holmes, our cousins cooked all the food and they all got together and served all the food at our wedding reception for me and my husband both and all our family and friends, we both were so happy and so very grateful for them doing all of that for us as a beautiful and amazing wedding gift, we were both in aww of it all the best day ever we are so very thankful

Hey Fam!! My professional stage name is MzzBrownSugar SweetAsWine LadyB and my birth name is Ann Marie Holmes, I had a amazing nursing career was a Certified Nurses Aide for 20 years and a Income Tax Preparer, CEO of a custom made t-shirt shop, singer-songwriter music artist, From Jacksonville, Florida, Music is my passion, I started out singing in a church choir and started writing my own music lyrics at a young age, then me and my handsome husband JR took the extra room in our home and made it into my music studio and I record and make all my music out of my home studio, I enjoy writing and making good feel good music for lovers and music that will surely get everyone up dancing on the dance floor all night long, what sets me apart is I make and perform all my own original music out of my home studio about my personal life experiences, and being my authentic self, making motivated music to bring joy and smiles to all my amazing fans, I had to self teach myself about the business side of making good music as well as how to write good music.I Love making good music and performing at live shoes where we all can meet up and Rock the house together, I am so proud of my strength, experiencing trials and tribulations but still standing strong and staying focused is my top priority, my advice is things may come up against you but my daily motivation is “cry but get up” don’t stay there you have to keep going.

All while pursuing my dreams of being a professional music artist I had to endure a lot of pain and trials and tribulations losing my beautiful big sister Priscillia Ann McClendon love you forever in our hearts rest in heaven beautiful and my beautiful mother Shirley Ann Edwards rest in peace love you mom passed away then shortly after my big handsome brother Henry McClendon passed away also rest in heaven love you brother and I had to be strong pray and keep the faith and this journey illustrates my resilience while on my music journey

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my audience on social media by interacting with everyone by responding to every comment and trying to get on a more personal level with my audience and posting often to keep them engaged and also by directing all my audience to go to my artist website page at (mzzbrownsugar.com) and sign up for my artist email list so that I can be emailing them and build our own LadyB Community and this is my advice to those just starting out follow all these steps to build your audience
