We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mzsassytheauthor a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Mzsassytheauthor thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

I started writing in 2010. I completed my first book in 2013. A couple of months laters, I lost the flash drive and all my work. I spent almost four years trying to recreate what I lost with no avail.

My aunt suggested I write something new and 18 months later. I published my first book. After finishing my second book, my mind opened up to write the book i lost.

I now have nine books published and currently writing my tenth.

Mzsassytheauthor , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I discovered my love for writing later in life. I wrote poetry in my teens but creating fiction novels happened in my late thirties. I love Romance stories with repeat characters and connecting storylines. My novels are family and friend based with drama, suspense, love, mystery and comedy.

I’m proud of following my dream. I’ve written nine books across three series in three years.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Writing can be a lonely journey at times. Building my social media involved connecting with other authors. I followed, reached out, ask for advice, read and reviewed their books.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I love seeing the finished product or project. There is something so rewarding in having the ability to take an idea or creative thought and form it into full novel.
