We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Myrna Love a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Myrna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My siblings and I were raised in a loving and supportive family environment that instilled important values such as family cohesion, support, perseverance, and empathy for others in need. Our parents’ demonstration of these values, particularly through acts of service and support for both family and community members, definitely left a lasting impression on us.
We never felt deprived despite potential shortages. We often witnessed our father’s willingness to help others and embody the trait of “servanthood” which served as a powerful example for us. We all have followed in his footsteps.
Having inherited these values and traits, we are well-equipped to continue making positive contributions to our families and communities, just as our father did and mom still does. This legacy of service and support is a testament to the strength and unity of our family structure, and it will undoubtedly continue to influence future generations.
Our family’s legacy of service, support, and empathy continues to thrive through our children, demonstrating the enduring impact of our parents’ teachings and the strength of our family’s values. As our children carry forward these traits into their own lives and relationships, they will undoubtedly make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond, perpetuating the legacy of service and support that has been a hallmark of our family for generations.
Myrna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Myrna M. Love is an “influencer” who has been in corporate America for approximately 35+ years spending the majority of her career in the accounting and finance space. She is a first-time best-selling international co-author, a holistic financial solutionist, and and entrepreneur.
Myrna has a passion to inform, instruct and influence individuals in rehabilitating their relationship with money. She aims to help people to move in to a place of financial freedom by partnering with them in transforming their money mindset, financial blueprint, and generational programming of bad money habits to reconstruct their financial DNA. No matter what one’s money mindset is right now, Myrna wants them to know that it is never too late to correct their money relationship. Myrna’s goal is to help people shift their perspective on money in ways that help them feel empowered in their lives. Exploring the money mindset will help people understand where their money struggles are rooted so they can know where to go next. Most often, all one needs is just a new perspective.
Myrna comes as an ordinary person striving for an extraordinary life to change the financial blueprint for her family and community. Her process began with faith in the promises of God which were birthed by being under submission of the teachings of the biblical principles and personal bible study time. The Word tells us to “let this mind be in you”. That requires intentionality. Myrna states that she serves a God who is faithful in fulfilling His promises. Yet the fulfillment requires a partnership. Myrna believes she has been destined to change the trajectory of the financial course for her family and community.
We all have been given the power to gain wealth according to Deuteronomy 8:18. However, before we can gain it, we must know that it is ours to obtain. Most of us grew up witnessing lack or ‘just enough’. We have generational programming that has set the tone for our bad money habits. Now is the time for “more than enough’ to be manifested.
Myrna is a wife, mother and grandmother who is a woman of strong faith that realizes that without God she would not have been able to progress in her life as she has. But for His grace and mercy!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
As a seasoned Corporate America professional, I’ve weathered the storm of layoffs four times in my career. However, after my second layoff, I made a conscious decision to reclaim control over my future. No longer willing to be at the mercy of companies prioritizing their bottom line over their employees, I delved into real estate investing. Initially, I ventured into traditional landlordship, only to find the hassles of maintenance and tenant management draining. Seeking a more enjoyable approach, I transitioned to short-term rentals, particularly using the Airbnb platform.
Yet, as with any venture involving people, challenges inevitably arise. I’ve reached a juncture where prioritizing enjoyment is paramount. If a strategy no longer brings joy, it’s time to pivot. Hence, I’m exploring new avenues in the real estate investing arena.
