We recently connected with Myles Wright and have shared our conversation below.

Myles , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I knew I wanted to be a content creator since a kid. YouTube was apart of my life for a long time and was the reason I learned how to start editing.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I got into content creation 4 years ago, but I was struggling with consistency because I was balancing that and football until the coaches at my first school told me that I had to stop. Which was extremely frustrating and discouraging because i thought that they would be supportive but instead they threw it in my face and made it seem like I wasn’t focused enough for them. What sets me apart in my content is that even though I’m myself and my content is funny it’s also credible because I still play pro football and Played D1 football so I’m not speaking from the lens of a fan I actually play and I have a professional opinion. Things I’m most proud of is the success that I’m starting to have since being consistent on TikTok. I have been getting 7.5 million views a week and I accumulated over 40k followers, it my not be a massive number but for me being able to get paid and get closer to doing it full time is all I want in life and I’m greatfull for that

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn not taking my time and giving myself grace. Because nothing is built over night and I used to get discouraged when I put a lot of effort into a video with little to no results but it’s a long process and it don’t happen overnight so you just have to be patient and consistent.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I understood that your biggest supporters are not your friends they are going to be complete strangers and now that I know that I don’t get upset when my family don’t support or help me because I know who the content is for and I know they will love it. And support you with what ever you do
