We recently connected with Mykola Sergiichuk and have shared our conversation below.
Mykola, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?
I am dancing all my life. And I always wanted to create my own thing. So I decided with my partner to create our ballroom show and perform it on a theatre stages. We spent so many hours and days creating everything and making it all together. We created costumes, choreography, videos, music with all our love and passion to dance. We sent our promo to many agents and company’s and the answer was not long in coming. We sold our show to many world known cruise company’s and started to perform our show on amazing stages and we felt that we did everything right. So now we can share our love to ballroom dancing with everyone.
Mykola, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started to dance when I was 6 years. And after a year of learning how to dance my coach open for me the world of competitions. And I fell in love in this sport, and I always tried my best to win all competitions I participated. And after 20 years of competitions I have won so many of them around the world. So I felt that I am ready to move on and create something else how to show my talent . And now I with my partner are performing on a greatest stages around the world.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me as an artist the most rewarding aspect of course is appreciation from the audience. Yes money is important, but when the audience giving back the energy, I am feeling so happy and I fell that I am alive and want to keep dancing again and again.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
The best thing that society can do it’s giving their feedbacks. So the artist would understand that he is doing good or maybe he need to work on something. And feedbacks have to be truthful. And if somebody didnt like the performance or even didn’t see it and writing terrible comment without explanation the artist feel really bad.
