Mykel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

When starting my hairline I had not thought about any risk when it came to my outside life. Meaning relationships with family and friends. I thought of risk for my business when it came to products but that was it. I started my business while never looking back and taking everything that was coming at me. I had to do everything on my own as I was a new business. From designing labels to packaging products my chemist created.

As I soon started to find out that I had to take more risk to becoming more focused and determined with my hairline. Not partying, saying no to things that did not want to grow my business all around. It was not easy missing out on things I thought I truly needed but I needed to be in the season of focusing and growing my business. Missing out on temporary y will benefit in the end.

Taking risk is the hardest thing to do I had no job I was on full faith. That is all I needed because everything turned around and JMOV Naturals is doing well and steadily growing,

My name is Mykel Jones I am the founder of JMOV Naturals a natural hair care line. I sell hair care products that help grow and bring out the natural of hair. From having natural ingredients focusing on all textures of hair. JMOV Naturals wants to help embrace natural hair types all around the world. To show that your crown is you and you only have one. The products solve frizz, give moisture and grow hair even for women needing help to grow their hair. This brand is different from all other natural hair brands because of the few ingredients that are only great for the hair but beneficial to a healthy hair journey.

I am most proud that I can be an example of natural hair and how to embrace it because your natural beauty is the best version of yourself. I want my potential buyers, followers and clients to know that I am open. If you need help about healthy hair care journey I am the one who will help. Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

I saved up for a while about 2 years when I wanted to do my business but it was not all enough like i thought and I am okay to say that. I had to find a chemist and once that was done I had to pay for containers, marketing and photoshoot. It was was all worth it at the end. I had a full time job paying for everything with my business. I would say that when funding a business use your saved money and not get loans. Work a job until the business can pay your needs and then some of your wants consistently.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my self on social media by being authentic and consistent. Meaning be yourself in the world we live in it is so hard to be yourself but staying strong will come with great results. Staying consistent by posting on your story on on your feed a picture or a reel. Staying active keeps people wanting to stay up to date on what your presenting.
