Hi Mychal, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
as a chef and owner my mission is to create exceptional culinary experiences that bring people together, celebrating Oklahoma’s rich flavors and traditions while adding a creative, personal touch that makes each event unforgettable.

Tulsa Oklahoma born and raised.
With over 16 years of experience in the culinary field, I’m bringing a lifetime of passion and skill to my catering business. I’ve seen firsthand how food can create memories, connect people, and bring joy to any gathering. After working in different roles across the country—from line cook to chef to BBQ champion—I’ve gained a broad perspective and a mastery of the culinary craft that inspired me to make something my own.
Starting my own catering company was a natural next step. It’s a chance to bring my culinary vision to life and put my personal stamp on the food scene in Tulsa. inspired by the power of sharing meals, celebrating Oklahoma’s rich flavors, and adding a new level of creativity to traditional dishes. Now, with my catering company, Im blending the flavors and techniques I’ve gathered over the years to deliver exceptional food experiences that bring people together and reflect the pride I have for my home state.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Michelle and I crossed paths in 2018, and from the start, we recognized in each other a shared commitment to hard work and a passion for uplifting others. She quickly became someone I could rely on through the highs and lows, and her encouragement made a difference in every step of my journey. In 2020, our shared dream of starting a catering business finally took root, and together, we’ve taken big strides—from honing our concept to joining Tulsa’s Kitchen 66 program. Her unwavering support, combined with her exceptional customer service experience, pushes me to reach new heights in my culinary craft. Michelle’s drive and dedication inspire me every day to be the best version of myself, and together, we’re building something special for Tulsa.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Yes, my side hustle evolved into a full-time career, transforming from a passion project to a fully-fledged business. It all began when I started catering small events on the side, sharing my love for BBQ and comfort food. After winning a few BBQ competitions, word got around that I wasn’t just passionate—I was good. People started reaching out, wanting the same quality and flavor for their own events.
Key milestones marked my journey. First, gaining a steady client base was a big leap, and it confirmed that my cooking truly resonated with people. Then, partnering with Michelle in 2020 was pivotal; her expertise in customer service balanced my culinary background, setting us up to grow even further. Together, we joined the Kitchen 66 program, which gave us valuable resources to sharpen our business skills and refine our offerings.
Today, we’re running a catering business we’re proud of, one that combines our talents and celebrates the flavors of Oklahoma in a fresh, unforgettable way.
