Murray , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful thing I’ve done so far in my career is to start my own global nonprofit. We travel to orphanages around the world bringing food, supplies and sitting with people who feel invisible or forgotten. With small groups we bring our love, hope, inspiration. That really resonates with me. It honestly changes you as a human to go through those experiences. And I’m super happy to be able to give those experiences to other people that want to change the world, but dont know how to take the first steps. Murray , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Geesh, well I’ve done a lot of things haha.. I’m a huge believer that if you want to do something.. just do it. Figure it out as you go along. You can do ALLL the things you want in life. Just make sure to enjoy the journey along the way! I started traveling a lot with my social media career, doing events around the country and that brought me all the way to Australia which was Epic! That has now morphed into me being a DJ, which has kept me traveling internationally and i Love Love this new chapter! I was on 3 reality Tv Shows which was superrrr fun to shoot.. if you have the opportunity to do something like that i say do it.. its super fun and teaches you a lot about yourself while filming, and about how rough the world is when people have access to you, social media is a double edged sword, you get the good with the bad.. prepare for that ;) I’m an event producer in Los Angeles which is something i love. I am currently in my more spiritual/cosmic path in life, and i am working on two new projects that i cant talk about yet.. but hope to share them with you guys sooon! Honestly.. just doooo the damn thing. Do everything. Spread a little love while youre at it ;)
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My biggest drive is the Universe.. and just trying to align with my highest timeline. I try to be a better person everyday and i think wanting to evolve on your human journey, and being self aware are major steps for your own personal growth. I was going through a really rough time like 6 months ago.. i think everyone as a collective is going thru some crazy things right now and we need to be self aware of our mental health.. i decided i needed a break from my normal life and i took a 2 month break and went to Costa Rica and just let the universe kind of guide me and teach me things along the way. I didnt have a plan other than to spend time with myself and meet new people along the way. It was really amazinggggg. I met some great new friends. Get out of your comfort zone, you’ll find strengths you didnt know you have <3
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Haha.. I’ve had to learn and unlearn so many things. I definitely sat with myself and worked on my negative Taurus traits, i used to be really stubborn and jealous, eww ha. I think the biggest thing is learning to let go of childhood/life trauma. Undoing our programming and reprogramming ourselves in a more beautiful version of ourselves.. our butterfly journey. Finding your truth is huge. I think people, especially in the lgbtq community, go through a lot in school/with family/religion. Bullying, suicide, etc.. and it can take a longg time to heal and overcome all of that. Idk.. everyone is on their own journey, and it might take a whole lifetime, but that’s okay. Just gotta enjoy this little life.
