We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Munashe Watungwa. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Munashe below.
Munashe, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
I started learning video editing for over a little more than a month now and looking at other experienced artists like nohluhn, noahsocold, poppy gavin for example, learning the different softwares became overwhelming and felt impossible to reach the level of these people. Comparing myself to these people made me think there was perfection and every value has to be entered to the perfect decimal and that threw me off. What worked for me was asking myself why AI art rarely evokes deep feelings from a viewer? It’s because it’s perfect.

Munashe, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
When I was 13, I allegedly watched a video on how to get photoshop and illustrator for free.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
The concept is cool but barely any actual art lovers. It’s literally Grailed but for virtual art.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Being able to create whatever I want whenever I want.
