We were lucky to catch up with Mukhathutsheli Nengovhela recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Mukhathutsheli thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I am a perfectionist, it’s sometimes hard to impress myself when I do my clients hair or orders. So what I do I always give them a small appreciation gift.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Covid-19 helped me to fulfil my dreams, I bought my sewing machine to start sewing bonnets/satin range for hair. I love natural hair I am now working on starting my own hair product line.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I started by doing my clients hair and I was saving 100% of everything for almost 5 months, then bought my sewing machine.
Now I save 35% of each order and use 50% to restock, 15% is for myself.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Creating thank you cards and stickers with Canva. Everyone love good packaging
I always ask them to give us feedback on the order
