We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mrs. Tionna Barksdale a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mrs. Tionna , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.

It started as a DREAM and it has now become my REALITY.

I always wanted to be a designer! As a young girl I was introduced to the game The Sims and I realized from that very day I was on to something.

I would emerge myself into this game because I wanted to shift things visually and make everything beautiful.

I started to take it serious when I received a word from a few pastors telling me that my gift would make room for me. Bishop & First Lady Bozeman of Assembly Of Faith Church.

Not only that, I was told Tionna you are going to decorate peoples houses. But as time went on I jumped into the field of education then during my transition I realized that decorating was truly my passion.

In January of 2020! I knew that for years I had repressed my gifts and talents because I supported many peoples goals and visions and I was tired of not walking in my own purpose. It was time for me to be my biggest cheerleader and advocate for myself.

During Covid April of 2020 I renovated my old house, I added curve appeal, painted the walls, went shopping for materials, bedding, curtains, furniture applied flooring, decluttered, staged my entire house because I wanted to sell it. I was ready for change. I even practiced photography and captured my own images of my work.

My Husband Brandon said something so amazing to me that gave me the Faith I needed to JUST DO IT. He said Tionna this is what you need to do with your life. And your work is magazine worthy.

I dealt with people trying to imitate my ideas and goals. So I stayed silent and then I launched my company.

As a business owner I learned quickly that you must be confident, discreet, consistent and aware at all times.

In 2021 I linked up with local private chefs as to one said he watched me for 1 year.

He said Tionna you have a spirit of excellence attached to you! Of course that made my heart happy because when you are first starting out you never know who is watching you.

I am proud to say that it’s been a process of professional growth, development, learning and I am excited to consistently grow and scale my company.

We are a multifaceted company that has 4 components for expertise in design.

We are a Luxury Interior Decorating, Residential Staging, Special Occasions & Weddings Company.

We service high end clients who love intimate experiences to celebrate life in a impactful way. We are booking online for seasonal holiday decor and more. We are excited for this last half of the year and anticipate 2023.

We have had the pleasure of decorating for birthdays, sorority engagements, private dining experiences, weddings, bridal showers, vineyard and winery events and a luxury rooftop picnic. We love collaborations and have had a great time meeting new people this year 2022.

We anticipate creating more phenomenal opportunities for the people we work with. We love connecting with others. It’s how life should be remembered.

In life’s hardest choices and decisions you may face obstacles but you must stay the course, you never start something and never finish it. You must keep going until you complete the finish line.

The only resources I wish I had known about was to remember that it is on you to do the work. It takes time and diligence to reap a harvest in the playing field. You must work on your business and you must be steadfast. Do not look to the left, do not look to the right. Stay focused and remember that your breakthrough will happen in due season.
