Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mridu Parikh. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mridu, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
When I had an opportunity to leave the corporate world and go out on my own, I l tapped into my strengths and founded Life Is Organized as a professional home organizer.
As a new entrepreneur, I was doing everything, from marketing to finance to content to sales, etc. It wasn’t long before I was unfocused and spread too thin – in my biz and at home. Like many business owners, you end up scattered, exhausted, feeling like a failure, and even resentful. That was me.
I thought, “how is it possible that I’m working THIS hard and still not getting the results I want?”
So I jumped into learning all things productivity and time management. I read, watched, and trained in everything I could get my hands on about focus and prioritizing. After lots of hits and misses, I discovered what worked for me especially when I was overloaded.
And I thought I can either go back to constant reactivity and feeling behind or I could embrace new beliefs and a simple structure. And that’s what I did. I went from feeling defeated to completely on top of all my demands and distractions.
I knew other entrepreneurs were facing the same challenges. And more importantly, I knew there was a simple way to get out of the stress and chaos. Now I teach those skills to other time-strapped top producers who want to take back control of their day too, so they too, get the right things done with less stress and more control.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
(The prior answer tells you how I got into my business).
Problems I solve:
You know when you’re working hard from morning until evening, putting out fires and dealing with technical issues, and yet at 6 pm you think to yourself: “What did I get done today?” It’s a frustrating challenge and one that I help solve. As a productivity coach, my goal is to help you take back control of your time and energy and feel successful at the end of each day.
Before partnering together, my clients feel scattered, overloaded, stretched too thin, and worried things will fall through the cracks. They know they can use their time better but all the books, blogs, and podcasts they’ve absorbed haven’t helped. They’re craving more focus and routine and would love to feel more successful about their days.
We create simple ways to get and stay focused, prioritize, systemize, delegate, and improve boundaries. Clients walk away with a plan they actually stick to so they are productive at work and truly present at home.
I offer services in 2 ways:
# 1) One-on-one coaching for women entrepreneurs who are overwhelmed by demands and distractions. I help them master focus, simplify systems, and build solid routines, so they take back control in their biz and at home. If you’re stretched too thin, scattered, and perpetually distracted, I will help you quiet the chaos.
Together we’ll create a method to respond to your demands, a process to delegate what you know you shouldn’t be doing, a way to deal with your never-ending to-dos, and a system to get a handle on all the projects in all the areas of your life. Coaching is customized to your unique circumstances and situation.
# 2) Productivity coaching and training for teams and organizations. If you know your team can be more efficient but they don’t have the time or know-how while juggling so many demands, we should talk. I help individuals improve their performance and feel more vested in their organization.
We break down areas that impact time and performance from focus, to prioritization, to email management, to communication, to boundaries, to meeting management, to workflow, and more.
You can call me an accountability coach, a communication expert, a change catalyst, a mindset challenger, a productivity consultant, or a culture creator. No matter what, I will help your team get more done with less stress.
What sets me apart:
My style is to view an individual as a whole person including work, life, and everything in between. Most productivity experts focus on being more efficient at work and most organization experts focus on being more effective at home.
With my background as a professional organizer combined with my expertise as a productivity coach, my clients walk away with processes and systems for their work life AND their personal life.
We’ll refine the way you manage your calendar, email, team, marketing, and projects as well as your workouts, meal plans, travels, and personal bills. Life is integrated and so are your goals and priorities. Why not have it all running successfully?
What I’m most proud of:
I’m most proud of my clients’ success when we complete coaching or training. They actually change the way their brain is wired. They think and act differently. They are more aware of their time, commitments, planning, and boundaries.
Most importantly, they end the day feeling successful instead of beating themselves up for what they didn’t get done. This truly gives me the most joy and is the most rewarding aspect of my work and life (outside of my children!)
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Staying engaged with clients, prospects, and fans is a top priority for me. This is why I have been consistent about publishing content for over a decade. I love sharing valuable tips and strategies through my weekly blog as well as my podcast, Productivity On Purpose. You can also find me on IG, LI, and FB under Life Is Organized.
I encourage viewers and listeners to answer questions, leave comments, and provide feedback. It’s where much of my content comes from. Fans know they can expect transparency, simple tips, and a dose of humor. Whether I’m speaking, training, coaching, or marketing, leaving people with actionable next steps is my trademark.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn resulted in my business today. During my first few years as a professional organizing coach, I learned everything I could about business. I invested countless weeks and months, pouring over my content, blogs, videos, e-courses, marketing, and training. I devoured every book on business development, entrepreneurship, personal growth, mindset, sales, promotion, and branding. And through all this inspiration and knowledge knew, I knew that if I just put my head down and put in the time, I would succeed.
I considered myself to be very productive spending all my time and energy this way. Until one morning my husband walked into my office and said: “I know you’re working hard honey, but what about the sales?”
I’ll be honest, I did not react very well. I was defensive and angry that he couldn’t see how productive I was. But it was a reality check for me.
– How was I not making the impact I knew I was capable of?
– Why was I not getting to my goals fast enough?
– Where was my time going?
Many months of self-analysis and reevaluation, shifting my perspective, retraining my brain, and adopting new habits resulted in significant changes to how I spend my time. Intentionally using my time has had a powerful impact on my life, my family, my health, and my now financially and personally rewarding business.
This self-realization is what guided me to transition my business to productivity coaching. I had to unlearn that productivity does not equal busyness. Productivity equals results that make you feel good. Now I also know that any professional can take control of their time too. It isn’t difficult or complicated. You just need the right tools and guidance.
