We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Motizzy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Motizzy below.
Motizzy , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
Well my mother and my brother seen i had an interest in music and they invested in my dream when i was 13. So it made me never want to quit because i felt like i owed it to them as well as myself to keep going.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Well being that i was making music so early in life my childhood friends told me i should take it serious so i did and it just snowballed into me working with more artist.
Starting off the business is the last thing you’re concerned about because you just want to get your foot in the door. At some point i realized i wanted to get paid too so i started taking the business more serious.
As far as discipline although i love to create i still find times when i dont wanna do anything with it at all but i pull some inspiration from somewhere and go from there i just try to stay focused on the passion i have for it thats what fuels the discipline.
Right now i offer music production and dj services the dj services are new just started really taking clients 6 months ago and its actually my first love i wanted to dj first so yea. Lol
Well my clients that i produce for i try to offer them creative ideas try to get them to try new approaches to their music outside of what they normally do the only problem is some listen and some don’t: lol
I’m most proud of being able to wake up and do what i love for a living and i have zero complaints about it.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn to stop being so personal with people because I’m such a private person if i allow people in my space even if it’s for business purposes i consider them a friend and in some cases that’s not the case at all. Business is business and i had to learn the BUSINESS and understand if i didn’t have this gift i wouldn’t have most of the people around.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Well i feel like every one has a creative side it just wasn’t no one to help them focus on it. But creatives sometimes have to be selfish to get where we want to go. Because most creatives are very giving literally will give anything especially if they have love for you. We just have moments where we wanna focus on us and be selfish.
